Pretty blue enamelware.
The colander belonged to my grandmother.
I love the simplicity of these utilitarian pieces.
Although I have different colors....
...this blue color is my favorite.
Irma hosts Enamelware Monday and I thought that I would participate this week.

I hope you had a lovely weekend and that all you Mothers enjoyed your special day!
Let us look forward to a peaceful and calm week ... a week that brings good news...
What a beautiful collander and from your grandmother, that is so special!!
The collander is wonderful. You are a lucky girl to have such a useful, everyday piece from your grandmother.
The blue emamel wear is one of my favorites as well, and in these parts it's called Madam Blue! I have collected some of it on holiday in Sweden and Denmark, and one of my best buys was a doll set!
Have a nice week!
I love your colander...and the strawberries look delicious. I have my mother's old colander, but pretty plain compared to yours.
Take care ~Natalie
Beautiful pieces, Laura, and so nice you have your grandmother's colander!
Beautiful enamal you've got. Love the blue color.
Have a nice week,
Ohhh I love blue enamelware... I have only one :( but I love my one and only :))
Oh, I could have picked up a little French double-boiler that would have joined your collection nicely this weekend! I didn't because it was being sold by a dealer, not an individual, and they know the value of their enamel ware...
That's a beautiful collection, Laura.
Oh my , those strawberries are making my mouth water. They look so pretty in that beautiful colander. I hope your Mother's Day was as special as you are!!
... this blue is pure summer ... and with the red of these jammi strawberries ... WOW!
Warm Regards, Bea ;o
Beautiful, especially your grandmothers colander.

You never cease to amaze me. I think that you have at least one of everything ever made !!
Doesn't the blue look lovely against the red of the strawberries ?
Have a lovely week, Laura. XXXX
Did you see the antique granite buckets and pitchers that Pottery Barn is selling? They look just like yours! I can't believe all the old stuff that they are selling now.
No, I did not see that but I just googled it and sure enough they do have vintage enamelware and other things....wow! wait till I dig out the rest of that stuff.....I guess it's a good thing I never got rid of things...here's is a link for others to check out PB's vintage things...
