Cheryl's Witch

As you know, I am a huge fan of Cheryl Kuhn's wonderful assemblages....

I have had this piece of hers for several years....it hangs in the stairway leading up to my bedroom....seems to warn my family of whats lurking up there !!

Recently I noticed that Cheryl has a new crop of witches that she created for this year's Halloween...If you are interested in checking them out...click here!

Confession:
Halloween is not my favorite holiday....in fact I don't really care for it at all...
... (except for the chocolate).

I do not like scary things .... never have...
I'm a fraidycat all on my own...I don't need to be filling my head with horrible thoughts or frightening images....

And besides...you know how I feel about orange!

Boo!
:) Laura

Oh sorry you don't like Halloween. I am into the orange, brown and gold of the season. And it doesn't last long so then you can jump into Christmas! I like sweet Halloween and the candy!! Hehehe

Laura,
Haloween is not by any means my favorite. I am trying to get into the swing, but only for my show..I never really decorate for Halloween, as we live very rural and never get trick or treaters...BUT..I love your picture..what a hoot! Very clever!

I agree with what you say about not liking scary things. Scary movies are off my list of favorites.
Love the assemblage AND I'm crazy about your white pumpkins!

Hi Laura
hehe fraidycat!! I would love to be able to celebrate Halloween. I must admit I have the most bizarre and frightening dreams at times which has me avoiding too many scary movies.

However Halloween looks like a bit of fun. [got to agree on the orange though]! Have a great weekend. I'm off to look at Cheryl's creations. x Julie

Laura, thanks so much for including my work on your amazing blog, I am honored to have my creations in your wonderful home! I too am not a big fan of orange but when it is faded or covered in rust then I am okay with it.
Oh and the chocolate is my favorite part too, especially the Reeses pumpkins, the best kind of pumpkins!!!

I don´t celabrate Halloween...but yes I visit the graveyard and think about those who are not with me in person.
I like the picture you have in your post...even if she gives me strange vibration.

Dear Laura, I am afraid I deleted my last comment (but I am not sure)... and I am not sure if I remember the text. I think I wrote:
I see an orange pumpkin on your first photo!!! How comes this? ;-)
I really like the Cheryl-witch!!!
A few weeks ago you have been in Italy. If you are interested in a very special place in Italy (not so far from Rome, in the southern Toscana) please visit my today posting - I am not so sure if you like it, but it is one of my "dream-places"...

I feel the same way Laura. I don't like Halloween, either and I never ever watch scary movies. Her artwork is pretty cool, though.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Yet more things we have in common, Laura. I don't do scary ANYTHING - movies, books, holidays, etc. I prefer to dwell on the lovely things of life. And I don't decorate with orange. Though I must admit, I like seeing the gorgeous shades of orange in leaves and pumpkins during autumn, my favorite season.

Blessings,
