Found Bits And Pieces

I picked up a few bits at a sale here in Dad's retirement village.

A pair of sweet French clay santons.

A lovely blue and white transferware dish...minus its cover.
I plan to fill it with succulents or perhaps a few herbs
and keep it in my blue and white kitchen.

A few yards of creamy white crochet trim.
You can never have too much of that! (:

Or too many of these...
...mother of pearl buttons.
Delicious...like candy!

A child's faux cameo ring...
...something so sweet about it.

And a lovely Limoges bone dish.

That's all for Show and Tell today!

I've been picking up odds and ends as I find them and will be cleaning them up
and getting them ready for a photo shoot or my little booth of treasures soon.

Hope you have had a great weekend!
Thanks so much for stopping by...
:)

I'm always about bits and pieces. They are my favorite. I don't think you can ever have enough. They make me smile. Wish I could find more buttons. Have just started collecting buttons and doilies and they are sooo costly. I need a yard sale from a seamstress!

Hi Laura...
That is a great idea planting it with succulents...I think antique casserole dishes are so great, and if I had the room to store them, I would collect them

your sea picture btw, were very calming - thanks for sharing -
God bless,
Anne Marie

Treasures for sure. Loved the little cameo ring, for faux cameo, it sure looks like the real thing. The French santons were so detailed. I have never seen any santons at flea markets, only in photographs. I'm a collector of santeros and retablos now I'm going to keep an eye out for French clay santons. I always enjoy the treasures you have for us to look at.

If I ate buttons as candy they would probably still go right to my thighs.

I have recently found your blog and I am enjoying it very much! Do you sell these pieces you find, or are you like me and have a house full of treasures? I include small dolls and found objects in my sculpture, I love the little santon couple, what a find. You can see the dolls I use on my blog, mostly frozen charlottes, but now you have me wanting to find little couples like this one!

Such a pretty blog! I was browsing on Pinterest and found one of your pins, having seen that I had to pay you a visit. I love flea markets, antique sales, car boot sales, and any other sale but they don't look quite as pretty as the ones you visit because I'm in the UK and it's usually grey or raining! I’ve now followed your blog and am going to go back and follow you on Pinterest too.
I collect lots of things mostly of the ephemeral kind (postcards, greetings cards, menu’s lots of books – anything made of paper really), plus the odd pot or two! I also buy and sell vintage children’s books and talk about them on my blog marchhousebookscom.blogspot.com/
