Crown

The Canadian dealers who I purchased some Crown mason jars
from last year at Renningers were set up at Webster this week
and I picked up a few more jars.

They are all clear glass but the embossing
 is slightly different on each.

I love the crown.

Playing with Picasa for a bit of an artsy effect.

It was a beautiful day here in Florida...85 degrees!
The azaleas and knockout roses are blooming...
so lovely!

I will share some pretty flower pics and beach photos soon.

Do you have any exciting plans for the weekend?
It's almost here!
:)

The crowns are beautiful. In fact, it never occurred to me that other places would have mason jars too. Beautiful find!

Laura
I purchased a couple of those sames jars in our area. I love the crown. For Valentines I put some mini pink hearts in them. It made for an awesome photo. I posted on my blog. It is nice to know they came from Canada. Hugs! Florence

Hi Laura! I love these jars too, but not easy to find. Glad you're having a great time with your Dad. We're off to get some of that fabulous Florida sunshine ourselves on Sunday for March Break in Fort Lauderdale. Really looking forward to some much needed rest in the sun!

Ooooo, I LOVE mason jars....they are becoming very popular over here now. I think that whoever was embossing the crown onto the jar, be it machine or manually, they slipped a bit on that one !! haha
Enjoy the beautiful weather Laura ( just a little bit of envy coming from over here !!). XXXX

Last year I was inspired by your aqua crown jar post, so I found one on Ebay. It sits on my kitchen window sill and is filled with beach glass I collected in Fiji. It makes me smile.

I really love those crown jars, Laura. Going to Renningers in Florida is such fun, but alas! I am not able to walk it right now. I wonder if old age and bad knees ever reverses itself! At least, I get to see it through your fine photos.

How nice to see the crown mason jars. Lucky you that you have found a dealer that had them! It is very hard to find them here on Vancouver Island. Of course, Canadians being tied to the British government and its people, it seemed natural that we would gravitate to a crown symbol. The crown symbolized the monarchy, and for others like myself, it still does. Of course the manufacturer most likely chose it as a symbol to represent the name of their product. Either way, it worked and they are still attractive after all these years. Enjoy them, they are precious. Patty/BC Canada

Hi Laura , I will be in Florida next week and hope to make it out to Webster...being Canadian I am very familiar with the Crown jars, and I love and buy them when I see them....I have some that belonged to my husbands grandmother.
I use them for everything from votive holders to flower vases,to storing staples in my pantry. The embossed crown makes them very special, I agree! N.xo

Those jars are really fun. I've never seen them around here. My Andy's Attic has a new home and it opens this weekend...that's what I'll be doing (plus shopping)

Hi there,
I've never seen Crown mason jars before. They are very interesting and like the look of the clear glass.
For Easter, you can fill them up with all kinds of pastel goodies.
Tomorrow, I'll be going to Rhinebeck with my Friend who I call, Thelma. I'm so glad for the weekend. Have a great one!!
