Answers...Inquiring minds want to know!

Thank you for all your comments and kind words!
I thought I would take a minute to answer a few questions ...

1. Who is Evi?

For those of you who have been following along all year...you are familiar with my talented and creative girlfriends Paula and Evi. I met them both, on the same day about 11 or 12 years ago and post regularly about our adventures and escapades as well as their beautiful homes and collections.
My post about our recent Valentine luncheon at Evi's home brought delightful comments from a few of my newest blogger friends and the question...
"Who is Evi?"

Evi is a dear friend who happens to be good at... well....everything!

She is an artist, a talented designer and a renowned dollmaker.
(click here to see some dolls of hers from an earlier post).

Her home is beautiful and tastefully decorated in an eclectic European style....
...and everything is always immaculate!

Evi pays attention to every detail. She is a gourmet cook, a wonderful baker, and the hostess with the mostess!
A visit to Evi and her husband Ebbie's home is always a treat!

We share a love of antiques, collecting and decorating.
To know her is to love her!
Evi is a gracious and generous person...
...she always allows me to photograph and share her home and creations with you!

2. What kind of camera do I use?

A simple point and shoot Canon.

I am a novice....just learning and discovering how much fun I can have and how creative I can be with my little camera. My plan is to sign up for a class in digital photography and also one in Photoshop.
I hope to someday be ready for a more sophisticated camera!

3. Do I have a shop or an online store?

No.
Many years ago, my husband and I bought and sold country primitive style antiques and collectibles at shows on weekends...
...and about five years ago, for a short time, Paula and I shared a booth at an antique mall in Essex, Ct.

However, I have way too much stuff and the plan is to open an Etsy shop soon.
...if I can bring myself to part with anything!

4. What am I going to do next...
... after I leave my corporate job?
...in approximately 3 weeks...

I am trying to figure it out!
Anybody have any ideas?
Anyone hiring?

So those are answers to a few of the questions that have been asked this week!
All photos were taken in Evi's home!

I have fallen in love with the trio of owls, I covet them! They really are gorgeous, who created them, if you don't mind me asking? Oops, sorry, another question for you, lol. You bring it on yourself though, you show us so many beautiful things.

Dear Laura,
It's lovely to see more photographs of Evi's beautiful and eclectic home. You and your friends have such talent and it's so lovely to see all of your work and photographs etc. Have you done anymore felting since your course ?
You all obviously have a passion for all things vintage, crafts and, of course, flea markets. .... and you all seem to get on so well and have such fun. Apart from our family, friends are one of the most important things in our lives and you have found some brilliant ones, Laura. Keep on showing us parts of their homes and talents. We all love it. XXXX

Bonjour Laura,
No we all know who Evi is - what a talented trio of friends you are and you seem to enjoy one another's company. Give our best to Evi for letting us peek into her beautiful world.
And you will find just the right thing to do my friend, I just know it!

Thanks for answering all of our questions. It's nice to know that a point and shoot camera (with a great eye behind the camera) took all of the shots....gives me hope that I might be able to improve my skills with my camera.
I know an etsy shop won't be the same as your corporate career but there's no doubt it will be successful!!

What to do after working?? Honestly, take some down time. Take time to just "be" without the pressures of a job. Because before you know it you will be so busy that you will wonder how you ever worked and got everything done. Best wishes on a successful new shop!
