Home and Garden Tour ....10 Parker Residence

This is part 10 of a series of posts on the home and garden tour in Centerbrook and Ivoryton, Ct. this past Saturday.....If you are just "tuning in" you may want to start at the 1st post and work your way back.....The first six posts are of my dear friend Paula's home and gardens....The picture of her above was in the Shoreline Times on Friday, June 12th.......

Part 10.....The Parker Residence......
This 6 burner Garland gas stove is the focal point of the kitchen in this 1826 home in Ivoryton....

I did not get many indoor pictures here as my camera was inoperable for a time....but again, Carole will have more later on in the week....

This wonderful summer living room is in what used to be an old shed off the terrace...it has a wood burning stove and an outdoor shower...

This alley way of 14 Kwanza cherry trees leads down to the backyard and Falls River....

Looking back toward the house and outbuildings....

The trees dip down toward the water as if to take a drink.....

This small home has such an unbelievably beautiful setting....

I am hoping that Carole got a few good pictures of the outside of this charming early house and the interesting interior as well for you to see.....Tomorrow I will post on the remaining homes in the tour....luckily I was able to charge my batteries and delete some older pics to free up space on my memory card.....what a wonderful day it was....we saw so much and met so many lovely people....I am happy to share it with all of you....
