Lily of the Valley

This bouquet of lily of the valley and pink azalea is just for you.....Happy Mother's Day!

Muguet...Lily of the Valley was my Nana's favorite scent.....

These sweet tiny pearl cups are a welcome and sure sign of spring in our garden...They were planted long ago by Rob's grandmother and continue to spread, thriving in the shade of the dogwoods....

Tucked in a vase created from an old silver knife, the fragile blossoms create contrast with the sturdy blue denim fabric ......love to mix textures.....always love blue and white together....

This beautiful blue blouse with the lily motif came from Anthropologie last year.....I haven't worn it yet as I bought it on sale....a size too small.....

It will have to serve as a prop until I decide I can live without chocolate.....
Enjoy your Mother's Day weekend!

Thank you for these beautiful flowers! Are they a traditional Mothers' Day flower? In France they are for May 1st, for good luck.

You are lucky to have grown up with a mom that could decorate. Mine could not !!! I have since given her great style...haha It is funny, when people go to my mom's house the first thing they say is ,"I see now where Vicky got it from"...lol

Hi Laura,
I can almost smell that beautiful Lily of the Valley here at my home. They are one of the prettiest flowers around and carry a lot of sentiment and romance for many people, thank you for the bouquet. I am so glad to hear I'm not the only one that buys items so pretty that don't always fit, I love the idea of a prop for that blouse! You have a chocolate for me this weekend and I'll have a caramel for you.
Happy Mother's Day!

Hey Laura,
Love lily of the valley too. Now it's got me thinking I should go pick some from the old house and bring them home. Cute little silver knife vase....never seen anything like that before,,,, but you are good at finding the treasures.
Hope you get pampered for Mother Day tomorrow...maybe starting with breakfast in bed with beautiful flowers on the tray....Hey that would make a lovely post don't you think????
