We had a few lovely, quiet days at the lake...
...enjoying the beauty all around us...
while opening up the camp for the season,
and cleaning up the yard and garden.
On the trip up we made a quick stop at the booth
and added a few things.
I will have to return soon and spend some time alone...
if you know what I mean...
...to do a major overhaul to my little space.
On the way home we passed through a small town
that was holding a town wide yard sale.
With only a short amount of time and an indulgent Mr. Flea...
...I was able to find a few treasures.
And then yesterday we went to a local church sale.
I love church sales.
Where else can you find something priced for a dime?
Feeling a bit ashamed and as if I was taking advantage
of the kindly lady who was minding her table of bric a brac...
I offered her a few bills and told her to give the rest to her church.
Among my finds were these two old books from the 1890's....
...and this child's necklace with a heart made from mother of pearl.
