The pattern of this pink transferware is called Vista and it was produced by a company called Mason in England. I inherited most of my pieces from my great aunts, Nani, FiFi and Mimi in the 1970's (I was offered the dishes and Sister Lynn took the mirrored and mahogany sideboard).
The aunties must have been collecting this pattern for many years....as there are many pieces and some are much older than others....most likely they acquired some pieces through the thrift shop in White Plains where they lived and worked for a number of years.
Some pieces I have picked up at antique shows....always looking for items that I do not have or need to replace due to a mishap (oops).
I really love the border of ivy around the rim.....
and have enjoyed using the dishes mostly for special occasions throughout the years.
These are just a few of the items and serving pieces made in this pattern......I didn't appreciate these beautiful dishes nearly as much when I was in my 20's as I do now....
Some of these porcelain pieces with the sweet pink roses were from my Nana's home.....some of them she probably inherited from the aunties and a few may be from Rob's grandmothers.
They are so spring like and feminine....
As the pink tulips are fading....I put them in some glass canning jars in their wire rack and set them out in the cool weather on the deck......I am enjoying every last petal!!!
