Looking Forward To A Fun Weekend!

Tomorrow I head back north to the lake.
Last week I was busy getting Kate's bedroom ready for the girls.
The girls come every year to celebrate Independence Day with us.
July 4th weekend is a big deal in these mountains and the girls at ages 7 (almost 8), 6 and 2 1/2 are really looking forward to the parade and fireworks.

And Mr. Flea and I are really looking forward
to having little ones in the house again!

...of course, Emma, Kate and Delia won't be the only ones visiting...
their Mom and Dad will be here too...
...and Dan is coming with three of his close friends!
The more the merrier!

So, I am looking forward to the long holiday weekend.
But there is lots to do this week before the fun begins.
Booth set-up is Thursday!

Hope your week is productive and that you
are looking forward to a fun weekend too!

The Model

When Kate was a baby.....about 22 years ago....I dressed her up in some vintage baby clothes and staged a little scene with some miniature quilts made by my mother in law and some antique children's props...She was a sweet little model and let me take some pictures...

Wasn't she dear?

Look at those innocent eyes...those chubby little cheeks....

Look at her now....at 23....a fashion model....a college graduate....an artist....an adventurer.....
No longer my innocent baby....but a beautiful young woman...full of fun and looking forward to a bright and promising future....

Feminine Reprieve

A few things in a guest room at the lake house....this used to be Kate's room and has a feminine look with vintage children's items about....as opposed to the rustic and nature themes carried throughout the rest of the camp....
Hope your week is going well....
