Good Morning From the Lake

 Good Morning!
The weather here in the Adirondacks has been beautiful all week.
Perfect painting weather for us as we work on our little kitchen here at the lake house.

Things are coming along...
...lots of prep work involved which takes so much time!
I know...I'm impatient!

But we did get a coat of primer on most cabinets yesterday
and already I can see a huge difference!

In order to do all this painting...
I have had to remove all my kitchen collectibles
 from my cluttered counter tops.

It will be interesting to see what makes it back
onto the counter tops once the painting is done!

Meanwhile...
It hasn't been all work and no play.
I have done a bit of thrifting and yard-saling
and will share a few fun finds with you tomorrow.

If you haven't had a chance to sign up for a chance to win the
52 Flea 700th post Give Back...
...it is not too late!

 Just click HERE!

I have been enjoying reading your comments and your creative ideas for using all that yummy Cabbages and Roses fabric.
It sounds like a pillow-fest to me!
...which would make reading Christina Strutt's
fabulous book (the other prize)... so very comfy!
:)

Good Luck to All!

Hope your summer days are full of sunshine too!
:)

Good morning! The lake looks so peaceful.I spent my childhood Summers in the Adirondacks. Nothing like a cottage on a lake.

That lake looks so serene and lovely. What a wonderful collection of kitchen treasures. I'm sure the majority, if not all will find a place in your remodel. My mother always told me, "Patience is a virtue". I am not a real patient person, always to eager to get things done. My poor hubby gets the grunt of it at times.

The images you share of "the lake" are always so serene and peaceful. It truly looks like a place of refuge from the rat race.

I hope you're able to finish your cabinets soon and can spend more time playing. ;)

Blessings,
