Peonies are my favorite! We have a deep pink one that has only ONE bloom every year. Your white one is lovely.
Oh, white peonies. I LOVE peonies. Mine are so close to opening - dark pink, medium pink and white. I can hardly wait. I love the perfume. I love the bouquets. I love the weight of them.

These are stunning flowers, Laura. What lush blooms they have. And the bits of deep red - such a contrast that only heightens the white.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I love that little bit of red against the white and the smell, I can't get enough.
Years ago Banana Republic had a wonderful Peony soap and perfume. I so miss them. Whenever I see a Peony candle I snatch them up quick!

I get mine at Trader Joe's and so far they've had none because of quality control issues.

I now have 7 peony bushes (plants??) at home. 4 are early boomers, both white and different shades of pink. They should be opening any day now. I'm so excited! My other 3 are late bloomers so they open 2- 3 weeks after the first. I'm so lucky it seems I have blooms for months.... I can't wait, they make me smile just thinking about them.

That peony is called "Festiva Maxima" and it is one of my favorites! Did you know we grown peonies for the wholesale market? We are picking right now...
