Vintage Perfume Bottle

Thank you for all your sweet comments on yesterday's post.
I truly appreciate you taking the time to let me know you dropped by and I love knowing that you have precious jewels and memories of your own.

This pretty crystal perfume bottle sat on my Mom's dresser all the while I was growing up.
Now it sits on my sister's dresser.
(Yes, Lynn...I borrowed it for the afternoon).

Still so pretty and asking for a little photo shoot in the Florida sunshine today.

We don't know much about it or where it came from. Perhaps you recognize the bottle?
The bottom is tinted yellow.

A neighbor brought this beautiful red hibiscus blossom over this morning....what an amazing flower!

I looked it up to find out a little more information about this gorgeous showy flower.
It seems the red hibiscus flower is traditionally worn
by Tahitian women.
A single flower is tucked behind the ear.
It is used to indicate the wearer's availability for marriage.

I will make sure not to tuck this flower behind my ear.
Mr. Flea just called to say he misses me.
:)

This is my very first apple martini.

I miss you too, Mr. Flea!

I'm having a good time with Mom and Dad!
Have a happy Tuesday!

Thanks for sharing your Mother's pretty bottle. I have a couple that I have no info on and don't think the tops are original, but love them anyway. Enjoy your Appletini. :-D

Lovely perfume bottle ...really unusual shape.
Hibiscus must just thrive down there but people here love them too.
Happy drinking...haha

That is a gorgeous bottle! The shape is very unusual. I was going to write and tell you more about Black Hills gold and silver. I will get to it.
Hugs,
Suz
P.S. There is a very nice joint jewelry swap done by myself and Robin Thomas (A Nest with a View). We would love to have you come and sign up.

What an impressive bottle. I have had a small collection of vintage perfume bottles, mostly sample sizes and some are really pretty. Am actually clearing up the box and giving away these bottles to anybody who can give them a good home. Any volunteers? All I'm asking is for whoever wants them to pay for postage costs.....

Oooo I love appletini's! And your perfume bottles are so beautiful!!! My MIL collects perfume bottles and has a beautiful case she displays them in...I always pick her up vintage ones at the flea market when I come across a pretty one that is reasonably priced!

Dear Laura,
I love it when you visit your parents....it always seems to involve alcohol....that's my kind of visit !!
I love vintage perfume bottles and, although modern ones can be quite ornate, they are not the same somehow...... and, I'm sure that Mr. Flea has no competition from and hibiscus flower !! XXXX
