Artsy Cuffs and Photo Play

My thrifty trip home was lovely...
...yesterday was one of those perfect days to be on the road...
...beautiful clear skies...no traffic....no time table.

I did manage to find a few little things but have not had time to photograph them as when I got home...
...there were dishes to wash, laundry to do, beds to change and...
...the cat box.

And then dinner.

Sigh. You know the drill all too well!

In any case, remember these 3 tin kitchen cutters that I found this summer?

They fit on my wrist like bangels...
OOOoooo.....

My idea is to make them into funky artsy cuffs....
...and wear them to Silver Bella!

Here's my start...
It looks like a little crown...doesn't it?

OK, stop laughing at me.
I'm determined to create something spectacular out of my kitchenware.

Meanwhile, I updated my Picasa software and now have the capability of using Picnik to alter my photos.

The above is my very first altered photo.
I have no idea what I am doing but oh my goodness...the possibilities!

Uh oh....
...now I will never get anything done around here!

Well, the boys finally got somewhat of a supper last night and their shirts ironed.
Starla is happy with clean kitty litter.

Things are getting back to normal.

:)

Laura-I love your idea! It looks great. Also I'm impressed by your picture. I have picassa and picnic, but still haven't figured out too much. I've played a little, but you are right-more to take up time that I don't have right now!

Hi Laura,

Finally able to catch up with your doings-after time at the lake with my old fashioned computer dial up connection.

I love your cuffs, and your image experimenting.

You go girl!

Please don't be to 'normal' - I like you just the way you are! These photos are wonderful as is your artsy cuff idea - I think it looks very regal. I hope your parents had a good trip back, how lucky you were to be able to spend some quality time with them. So looking forward to seeing all your other finds on your trip back. Hugs

I've been on a cuff kick too. I had a Bella party and gave them out as favors. Love your "crown" and look forward to seeing you wear it in Omaha!
