Do you remember when I told you that I took a chance and impulsively signed myself up to go to the famous Silver Bella
Well, since it is my first year, I was assigned a Big Bella Sister to answer my questions and give me the inside scoop on all things SB related....
My Big Bella Sister is Kim Hanauer
and today she called me on the phone to chat and to tell me that a surprise package was in the mail.
Just a little while later....sure enough...a package was delivered with the mail!
And what a package it was!
Kim called it an Inspiration Kit....something to get me going, to spur me on to get creative!
It was filled with so many wonderful things!
Look at these vintage wall papers....
...she has a large collection of these and sells them in her Etsy shop
Two old quilt blocks....beautiful blues!
A little tin filled with tiny bits and bobs, beads and fasteners...
...and the tiniest, sweetest frozen Charlotte!
Did I tell you how much I love this indigo blue in the antique quilt block she sent?
...and then there were vintage laces and ribbons and velvets...
...and millinery flowers and crochet pieces...
Kim has made me feel so welcome and special.
Now the pressure is on to be creative....hope I don't disappoint!
Thank you so much Kim!
I can't wait to meet her in person along with all the other Silver Bella girls in November.
There was a Silver Bella
online chat earlier this evening...
... and let me say this...
...those creative and crafty ladies are ready for a good time!
Have you been over to Maryanne's Beadboard Upcountry
Tonight was the launch of Beadboard UpCountry's Trunk Sale
featuring this beautiful knitwear.I would love to wear that first one to Silver Bella! :)
Tomorrow Dan and I are heading up to the lake and will spend some time with family.
My Mom is continuing treatment and holding her own.
Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes!
I hope the weekend brings peace and joy...
One of these days I am going to one of those events:) Enjoy all of your generous gifts from Kim! What a sweetheart!
Have a blessed day and enjoy your time with family! HUGS!
Such nice gift you have got.....
You deserve it all...

Warm Regards, Bea

Hi Laura-first of all, I'm glad you mom is doing better. Second, thank you for all your comments on my blog and, yes, we do have a lot in common. That's what drew me to your blog in the first place. I love all your treasures shown above and it's funny....I just got a teeny tiny frozen charlotte at an estate sale. I'll post a picture of it.
Silver Bella sounds wonderful!
Enjoy your weekend.
Silver Bella is one of my dreams. I doubt I'll ever go, but I do enjoy reading about everyone's adventures there. Your inspiration packet is so sweet and will surely inspire much creativity.
Enjoy the lake. Summer blessings are sweet.
Laura, I am so glad your Mom is doing better.....that is so good!

So many lovely things to create with. I am sure you will make some fabulous things with it all. You certainly will have lots of inspiring ladies to guide you in the right direction. Have fun! :) Tammy

Oh Laura, What a collection of goodies to receive in the post....and mostly blue too. She really does know you !! Now you've got to get cracking and get creative (which won't be hard for you ).
Have a lovely weekend with your family and please send my best wishes to your mum....make her laugh a lot....it's the best medicine. XXXX
OMG - WHERE did she find that bigger quilt square? I used to have a quilt like that!!! Unfortunately, we lost it in a move.
I think Silver Bella sounds like so much fun...
Wow you were so lucky! But I dont understand why you got them? I imagine you will have lots of fun tho! Fiona
Don't you just love little boxes filled with tiny things? And oh, oh, OH! What gorgeous fashions!!
They must have known you were a BLUE girl!!!
What fun you'll have creating with these goodies. Hey sometimes it's good to be impulsive!
I think "somebody" knows what colors you like!
How nice to get such a treat in the mail to coax the creative process. Enjoy, enjoy.
I've been eying Silver Bella for awhile but I probably won't make it for awhile. I'm only 70 miles from Omaha so it's even more tempting for me! Your welcome package is wonderful. I hope you have a fabulous time--I know you will!!
