Roses

Kate and boyfriend came to visit and we all went out to dinner tonight...

It was a relaxed and fun evening...
...She looked happy...

...and that makes me happy!
...everything's coming up roses...

...and it feels good!

We're waiting for the big storm to come through tonight...
...another foot of snow expected...

...another cozy stay at home day? :)
...time will tell!

There's something to be said for simple contentedness and happiness. It's so comforting to see young people in love (or even in like for that matter), it gives a sense of hope for the future.

Not more snow? We finally have something that feels like spring here in the south of France. The sparrows certainly think so - we have fed them through the snows and now they are rewarding us with songs (lovely) and clattering about in the roof tiles (less so).

I'm so glad you had such a happy time - your roses are beautiful.

Dear Laura,
No wonder you are posting roses with another snow storm on it's way. We are still having sleet and freezing temperatures but, if we didn't have the cold weather, Spring wouldn't be nearly as wonderful.
Beautiful images, Laura and a lovely dinner with your daughter and boyfriend. That's what we will be doing in a couple of days. I expect that we will be paying !!! haha (that was a bit unfair as they always offer !) XXXX

Great pictures! I also love time with my daughters and anticipate some snow days once again. I guess we need to make the most of them! The roses make it feel like spring can't be too far away!

Away at the moment in the Southern Alpes at 1700m altitude far from roses. The cold wind sure puts some in our cheeks though ;)My second daughter's second name is Rose ... she loved them. See you when I get back
