Oh, yes, I love red too. One day last winter when all I could see was black and white, I took a country drive and took pictures of all the red I could find, then I made an accordian book called Seeking Red and gave it to a crafting friend. Your photos are lovely! Sherry

You have my initials there! What a nice surprise to see them (Floss is a nickname, although I love it).

Your reds are wonderful and I am full of plans but not quite ready yet! Need to get a move on...

I love red too, it keeps finding it's way into my decorating... a little on a pillow, in a tablecloth, etc. I love the little high tops, too cute! I just bought Somerset Life yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed your piece. I would have never guessed that you just started blogging in Feb. I thought you were a seasoned vet! Your photos in the magazine are gorgeous, like your blog it was a great read and full of inspiration. Theresa

Dear Laura,
Red IS the colour of Valentines Day .... I love your photographs especially the first one.
About 10 years ago I was obsessed with the American Colonial, Appalachian style and collected anything with the Amish hand and heart.
Little red shoes, embroidery and cherries...how refreshing to see these items in a Valentines post...not what you would normally expect, but very apt.
I was telling Julie that on sunday, I was watching the Antiques Roadshow. A lady had brought in a child's pair of shoes from the 1700's. She had found them in the wall of her 16th Century house and inside were a packet of seeds. Apparently, it was a common practice to help fertility. The lady was having an extension to her home and she cemented into the brickwork, a pair of her son's shoes, a packet of seeds and a newspaper. I thought ...Laura would LOVE that story !! XXXX
