White Palette

Welcome to White Wednesday!
Several of you inquired about this little advertising painter's palette that appeared in a post a few days ago...
I thought I would show you the reverse side.
Rob's Mom gave it to me and if I remember correctly she said it belonged to her mother....

That's all I know!....click to enlarge for details

Talk about wild women!
One bare shoulder sitting on that furry rug...

...and this little one is even more daring!
...in her matching outfit and sitting on a ruffled tuffet...

...Now this one sitting in her straight back chair doesn't seem to be related...
...possibly not even on the same planet!

Moving along with my whites....
...pearly buttons in icy snow...

white balls of string...

love the textures...

love the sheen!

For more participants in White Wednesday...
... please visit Kathleen at Faded Charm!

Hope your Wednesday is a happy one....
...ours will be white again...in fact snow is expected on and off with sleet and freezing rain right through the rest of the week...
Enough already!
Good night!
:)

Hi Laura,

A beautiful post! I especially like the off-the-shoulder costumes. I understand that is what all the women will be wearing at the academy awards this year.

Keep safe and warm,

Marjorie

LOLOL, the little girls' photos made me laugh. The first one, fine, she is smiling. The second one seems to be saying " I have been sitting here for ages, when is that idiot photographer going to take the shot?" She is looking quite miffed. And the third one, oh dear me, the third one so needs to go the the little girls' bathroom.

Dear Laura,
A wonderful poy pourri of white articles.
The photos of the first two girls would probably be frowned upon today as exploitation !!!!
I love that artist pallette. Rob's mum has given you such wonderful things, hasn't she ?..... and, what is it about pearl buttons ? I love them too. I love putting my hand into a jsr of pearl buttons and let them slip through my fingers....I know, I'm weird !!

Oh, my, Laura, I just love that girl with the hat on the chair! She kind of reminds me of when I was really young, and trying to stay prim and proper and trying so hard not to do anything naughty (I would always get my tights dirty playing with the boys!). p.s. congrats to your nephew getting into McGill - it will be wonderful to see you here in Montreal!

Love your whites. The photos of the children are so cute. We are supposed to get 12 inches of snow here between tomorrow and Friday! I won't be getting my fabulous kitchen cabinet (see my blog) this weekend if that happens. Hoping it turns to rain:)
