A Few Of My Favorite Things!

This sweet heart was hand made by friend Pam Murray at least ten years ago....she used to have an antique and gift shop near the lake house...... she is no longer there and we miss her.......

A few of my old pins.....

My favorite dress form which Paula and I found in an antique shop in Mystic, CT.....adorned with some vintage rayon ribbon which I bought at one of my favorite stores in NYC ....Tinsel Trading!

My newly acquired and much adored handbag......how cool is that?

A favorite magazine arrived in the mail today....."Where Women Create"....by Jo Packham for Stampington & Company's Somerset Studio....This is the third issue and it is incredible!

Robin Kaplan, a favorite designer....

My very favorite wrap......

I hope you enjoyed seeing just a few of my favorite things....

Now, if I were Oprah.....you would get to take one of each home with you!
.... Sorry that I cannot accommodate you that way....... but perhaps you can share a few of your favorite things.....What sort of things do you hold dear? (We ALL love our families, our faith, our health, etc.) I'm talking stuff here! Do you care to share?

The heart that your friend made is very pretty. Tinsel Trading was also mention by whispering Poppies, I wish we had a shop like thta too over here. It looks so full of wonderful things. It must be hard not to overspend in a place like that! I have been meaning to get hold of that magazine and your post has been a reminder, thank you. The wrap is truly beautiful, the colour especially!
Have a great weekend!

Wow Laura great post! I love all your favorite things too. The shawl is amazing. I checked out the link and I now want one of everything. Don't tell Paula about it she'll get in real trouble..ha-ha. So glad you showed your dress form...I wonder if you got it at the antique store I try to stop in when I go to Mystic? The jewelry is very special and cool, the heart is beautiful and you can tell made with great care. Love the new bag- very J.d'Arc living.

Hi there,
I love your favorite things!!
I have a dress form like yours that I love. My workspace where I create all of my art is pretty great! I have an antique top hat that is very cool, lots of stuff now that I think about it.
Where Women Create is a favorite of mine as well. Maybe someday I will be in there showing off my workspace. Fun!!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Rosemary

Your too funny!"were talking stuff here"! I like everything you like! Love the dress form! I would love to find one! I found one at a flea market where I live and I blogged about it....but she{the dealer} won't budge. She uses it for her own displays. Anyways....Nice to meet you!
