In your Easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it,You'll be the grandest lady in the Easter parade.Ill be all in clover and when they look you over,Ill be the proudest fellow in the Easter parade. On the avenue, Fifth Avenue, the photographers will snap us,And you'll find that you're in the rotogravure.Oh, I could write a sonnet about your Easter bonnet,And of the girl I'm taking to the Easter parade.
About ten years ago....I actually found these two spectacular hats at a flea market at the school just down the street from my home.......
The flowers are on both the top and bottom of the wide brims.....
I haven't had an occasion to wear either of them but my Mom-in-law wore each of them at one or another of her annual ladies luncheons......she made an impression!
I suppose they could be worn at the Saratoga races as well.....hmm.....that would be fun!
If I wore one to church I would have to sit in the last pew or no one would be able to see past me!
I hope your spring days and Easter preparations are filled with joy and beauty.............
To live content with small means.... To seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion.... To be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich.... To study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly.... To listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart.... To bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never.... In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common.... ...........this is to be my symphony.
Thank you to all the kindred spirits and kind souls who take the time to leave a comment......Your support and encouragement are deeply appreciated.....I read each and every message and as time allows, do my best to reply.
