...and Happy Birthday to my daughter Kate on her 24th birthday!
...(old apothecary bottle from the thrift store last week)
Kate is celebrating with friends in NYC this evening...
She is much more of an adventurer than her mother...
...and is writing her own story.
We are very proud of her.
Today was beautiful and warm ....an exhausting but fun day! Mr. Flea took me to a church sale early this morning and then to the sale at the school across the street. We had a lot of fun, met up with friends and all found things to take home with us.
I found some interesting things and will share pictures later on this week.
Tomorrow, I hope to visit my regular weekly market... ...The quilted fabric below was found there a few weeks ago...
I love the browns and reds together. I think that it is fairly old but I am not an expert at old fabrics. Maybe you can tell me more about it?
I hope you are enjoying your weekend... ...the weather here in the East is spectacular! :)
To live content with small means.... To seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion.... To be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich.... To study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly.... To listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart.... To bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never.... In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common.... ...........this is to be my symphony.
Thank you to all the kindred spirits and kind souls who take the time to leave a comment......Your support and encouragement are deeply appreciated.....I read each and every message and as time allows, do my best to reply.
