Violets To Greet You

I hope you enjoyed my sweet violets.
Clearly, I like playing outside and taking photographs
more than cleaning, sorting and organizing inside.

 Everybody needs a break, right?

The weather has been so lovely the last few days...
...I just might have to flea a little.
...just saying...

Writing Her Own Story

Happy May Day to all...

...and Happy Birthday to my daughter Kate on her 24th birthday!

...(old apothecary bottle from the thrift store last week)

Kate is celebrating with friends in NYC this evening...

She is much more of an adventurer than her mother...

...and is writing her own story.

We are very proud of her.

Today was beautiful and warm ....an exhausting but fun day!
Mr. Flea took me to a church sale early this morning and then to the sale at the school across the street. We had a lot of fun, met up with friends and all found things to take home with us.

I found some interesting things and will share pictures later on this week.

Tomorrow, I hope to visit my regular weekly market...
...The quilted fabric below was found there a few weeks ago...

I love the browns and reds together. I think that it is fairly old but I am not an expert at old fabrics. Maybe you can tell me more about it?

I hope you are enjoying your weekend...
...the weather here in the East is spectacular!

Grey on a Sunny Day

It was a beautiful sunny morning so I decided to take some treasures outside to take advantage of the light and try to get some pictures. This is my Santos....found her in Chester, CT while shopping with Paula....I just love her....all in tones of grey.
The pillow cover is one of a pair that I recently bought from Carol at Raised In Cotton....I just love her blog and online shop.

The silver plate dish was just the right size for my 3 blue cloth "eggs", which now look like peas in a pod! The white leather gloves were 25 cents a pair at the thrift store this week...The black French clogs are wonderfully worn and dancing on the old sheet music. I just love the way her big brothers are touching their little sister in the old photograph. The French seed packets were a lucky find on Ebay. The Wedding Pure Rye Whiskey bottle was begging to be dressed as a bride! I had such fun playing with my goodies to try to make pleasing vignettes......................lots of greys and soft pinks. Hope you enjoyed the show!

Love Affair with Kitchen Collectibles

My love affair with all things from the kitchen started in my Nana's farmhouse when I was very young.........Our kitchen is mostly blue and white right now with all the yelloware packed away. These white French enamel canisters were found at Brimfield.
