We must help as best we can.

I totally agree! In 1978, Haiti was one of the ports of call on cruise I went on. It was a very poor country, but the people were so lovely! It breaks my heart to see such devastation to an island that has so little!

Amen! Hearing reports from people on the ground in Haiti... church minister and his family got out of house as it was falling down... two of his children have broken bones and they have been unable to get medical care. Said they will have to travel to the next village in order to find a doctor. But with everything rubble and chaos, going anywhere is difficult. In spite of all this, they are just so grateful that they are alive. My heart is breaking for those who are injured and in pain, and those who have family members who are dead or missing. Please do what you can... donate to Red Cross or Doctors Without Borders, or any other reputable charity working in Haiti. But please do something. IF you can only give a dollar, then give it. It all adds up. We can not turn our backs on these people.

One of the fourth grade classes at school is taking this on as their community project and will be collecting money this next week so at least I can give in that way. It will be a long road to recovery and every bit will help. Blessings, Tammy

Hi Laura

It is so sad to see those images in the news. Poor people, they need all the help they can get. What a awful thing to happen to them.

Thoughts and prayers with them.

Lots of various fundrasing events going on here for Haiti. I'm sure it's the same else where.

Warm wishes

Indeed, Laura. One of the medical residents from my hospital who is from Haiti is about to give birth to her first child and you can imagine how relieved she was to find out her immediate family is alive, albeit homeless, although she has lost some of her friends. It's quite heartbreaking.

Wish we would send more help. That country
is so poor, They live in shacks with dirt floors. They cook on the side of the road
in an open camp fire.
I saw that Palace on the news and though Please God help them. It has to be horrific.

The people were suffering so much before the earthquake- my only hope is that the world will now focus in on helping these people...World Vision is another very good charity- they had 350 people already in place in Haiti at the time of the quake.

Dear Laura, absolutely. A prayer is for them all there.

I love your pictures and especially the heart for the Tahiti people.

There is one picture you have a bit further down to celebrate your wedding day. It is with a text background with a heart of jewellry in it.
May I borrow it and use it as a background?
Love and hugs

Yes, all in Haiti are in our thoughts as they deal with this devastation. My Pink Saturday post today was in honor of some Haitian artists that I met this past summer. My heart breaks for all. ~ Sarah
