Looking Forward To...

Tomorrow is a day I have been looking forward to....
I am headed to Evi's home for a luncheon and get together
with our friends Paula, Debbie, Deanna and Carole.

Evi spoils us terribly and we will be treated to a delicious lunch which will surely include a few of her special baked goodies
and a beautifully, still decorated for Christmas home!

And then...this week will take me to just outside Chicago
to visit and help out my sister Lynn with some packing.

We plan to have some fun while I'm there too...
...so if you know of any fabulous shops or flea markets
in the vicinity of Lake Bluff...please let me know! :)

I hope that you are all off to a good start to the New Year...
...now back to watching Downton Abbey!
...

Stay tuned for some photos of Evi's home and luncheon!
:)

Laura, you are so lucky to live near Evi. It is my dream to visit her home. I'm in awe of her talents and beautiful style. I know you girls will have a special time together. I look forward to seeing all the details. Evi's home is magical any time of year, but at Christmas it must be even more so. Enjoy! ~ Sarah

I hope you enjoy your luncheon with friends. I used to live about an hour from downtown Chicago and made frequent weekend trips. There is so much to do there! I'm sure you will find enough time to take in some of the lovely sites and still get some packing done! Have fun!

I'm sure you had a wonderful time... is there anything better than an afternoon with the girls? My husband always says "there will be lots of giggling"... and of course, there always is..

Love the pix... so pretty.

Blessings,
Spencer

Two wonderful places in Northbrook, not so very far from Lake Bluff: The Inn Shop (consignment) at the Northbrook Historical Society 1776 Walters Ave., and Turn the Tables consignment shop on Cherry Lane. Inn Shop open TH-SAT 10-4 and SUN 2-4. Turn the Tables closed Sun-Mon I know.

Anyway, great stores -- always a changing inventory. And not so far from Trader Joe's as well!!
