Evi's Holiday Home

Our visit to Evi's holiday home was all that we expected it to be.
Her gorgeous home was decorated for Christmas with neutral tones,
a European flair and lots of natural elements.

It was a beautiful day
and the light streamed through the windows in the sun room.
Everything in Evi's home appears light and airy, fresh and clean.
Every detail is perfect
and the overall effect is charming and welcoming.

I was a few minutes early and took these photos
before the rest of the girls arrived.
Enjoy the tour...

One of Evi's wonderful Santas.

Last year Evi made this pillow with antique children's stockings
...it rests on this bench at one end of the living room.

A trio of fluffy owls rest in the barbed wire wreath over the mantel.

A beautiful centerpiece sat on top of the old wood table
which sits between the two love seats.
Later on in the afternoon...
it was covered with gifts, ribbons and wrapping paper.

Her tree was filled with beautiful ornaments...
...many of them antique.

There are many more photos to share...
...and I will do so over the next few days.
I hope you enjoyed this first glimpse!

It was a fabulous day...
Evi treated us like royalty...
...we had a delicious lunch of quiches and salads,
with plates full of home baked cookies,
an amazing lingonberry chocolate cake and a pear tart.

I enjoyed every minute visiting with the girls
and can't believe how fast the afternoon went by!

Well, we have only walked through two rooms in this post...
...much more to come!

:)

I really love to see your friend Evi's home at Christmas, she is a 'master decorator', it is so beautifully crafted and you can tell that she loves every little animal and object she displays. An absolute joy, thank you for letting us in. Happy New Year to you, love Linda x

Pics of Evie's house - what a treat! It was a favourite post last year so I was thrilled with another.
It's been a bit of a morning here with Elsie the dog going missing for over an hour on her walk. I was freezing and very close to tears when she reappeared filthy dirty and looking pleased with herself. I'm still thawing, and sitting here with a hot tea and reading your blog. It's helped so much, thank you! xx
