September Happenings

The month of September seems to be flying by....
I enjoyed a wonderful visit in Connecticut
 with my good friend Paula.
We visited our usual favorite shops
Gather in Ivoryton and Taken For Granite  in Stony Creek
as well as a fun filled day at Brimfield.

Here are a few random photos of various vignettes
 in Paula's charming farmhouse.

...my little bedroom upstairs...

...the newest addition to her garden.

...and these ruffled pages of the antique French books that she found at Jackie's booth in Brimfield...

...so pretty.

See these iron spirals?
We found these at Brimfield too.
They look a lot like the beautiful long spiral curls on Paula's head!
We were told they were once part of a piece of farm equipment!

Paula found this wonderful wire piece a few weeks ago at Gather.
She wasted no time embellishing it
with old photos and bits of lace and vintage buttons.

Next to those old ruffled pages...Paula's favorite find at Brimfield
was this pair of curly toed ice skates.
I was so proud of her bargaining skills
which included buying and delivering a cheeseburger to the dealer! :)

...and here is Midnight..relaxing in a favorite window.

More photos of what we saw in Brimfield
and pics of Gather and Taken For Granite soon.

But tonight...I'm off to bed early as Dad and I
take to the highway tomorrow morning on our way south.
Yes, Dad is longing for the warmth of Florida...
both the sunshine and his good friends.
Be back soon Mr. Flea!

Hope you are all well.
It's been a wonderful summer...beautiful weather and lots of time with family.
 :)

I am so envious of all the wonderful finds from your amazing flea markets 'over there', I don't know of anything quite like it here in Oz. Thanks for your inspirational pics, many could be reproduced in mini size.
