After a cloudy and damp morning....the sun came out!
And with the sun came a strong breeze that blew the last of the clouds away.
The wind blew and pink petals floated through the air...
Thousands of soft pink petals...
...everywhere.
Buckets full.
I am loving having the time to appreciate the beauty around me...
...the time to notice the little things...
...the time to be quiet
...the time to listen to my heart.
I am thinking of my sweet sister and all the other working Moms tonight...
...it won't always be as hard as it is now...
...children will grow and make their own way...
Someday, you will have time too.
Take a deep breath.
...and thank you for all that you are and all that you do.
Hope the week is going well for everyone...
Good night! :)

Oh, Laura, these photos are enchanting. Such a suprise to see the beautiful silver along with the pearl buttons amongst the most beautiful, fluffy pink petals! ~ Angela
So lovely. Its so nice when you actually have a moment to absorb all the beauty that is around us. It doesn't happen often enough ~ or to enough people. Thank you ~
Wow...so beautiful, Laura. And so bittersweet to have the time...but to miss the bit of madness of noisy children and busy lives! Trish
The first day the petals fall from the magnolia trees the looks like a candy confection. Too bad within 48 hours it looks completely awful.
Oh what a beautiful bucket of Pink! I sure do love your pictures in this Post! Makes me want to just relax.......nice feelings. Hugs, Diane
I love that you've gathered them up. Like wanting to capture the last bit of beauty they hold.
Enjoy your time in the garden Laura.
Night night!

Thank you for allowing us to enjoy the beauty with you!!

That almost made me cry. Thank you, I needed to read that.
I miss the blossoms of my childhood. I can smell them from your pictures. The bucket full of petals looks edible. Yum,
Annette
Your pics of the flowers are awesome. I have been making bouquets of Lily-of-the-Valleys, wild sweet woodruff and more flowers that are in such abundance in our woods around our cabin. Took a walk the other day and savored the wild ferns, their fronds so curled and so velvety and now, just a few days later the fronds are so in full unfurled beauty. What blessings God gives us if we would only just stop and take notice.
Beautiful, beautiful pink petals. Lately I find I'm checking your blog before I turn in for the evening. Your images are soothing and lead to sweet dreams.
Saw your comment on Karen's blog about the party. If you do choose to host a "Where Hoarders Stash..." I could easily attend your event too! Happy week Laura.

The photos are beautiful and the sentiment is much appreciated!
I'm at the office taking a bit of a break (yes it's after 5:00 pm - but I still have another couple of hours of work!)Sometimes I think that I only live on the weekends.
Thank you for your words of encouragement!

Your words are so true.I was so lucky to be ill the first years after every birth. My hips hurt and I could not walk much, but if I had to walk it as slow so slow.
That being said when walkig I could see the fall leaves fall all the way to the ground.I could watch the neighbor go home and then back to the store for he forgot something. My small children always walked at their own pace besides me.It was like being in a serene bubble and everything around us was in a hurry.
I too go outside often and breathe a big happy sigh of relief that I can see those blossoms fall to the ground on which my feet are firmly planted. How beautiful Laura...
What a beautiful post with even more beautiful sentiments.
Your photos of the pink petals is so lovely and magical. I feel good just reading your blog today. You life my heart.

Laura, what lovely photos. I have a carpet of pink and white blooms over my yard. I don't think it would have occured to me to collect them up in a bucket. It makes such a beautiful photo! It is indeed wonderful to finally have time to truly appreciate and take in all the beauty around us. Enjoy!
Outstanding post!
Blessings,
Susie
