Hi Laura, congratulations on your 400th post, and a wonderful giveaway. I must admit that although I like the neutral trend I love colour and especially the pink lustre and gold of the old Victorian motto ware cups, eg the forget-me-not and a present mugs, they are my favourite. I also love ephemera, anything old and worn, old patchwork quilts/pieces, old childrens books, vintage floral fabric, victorian scraps, vintage garden items, old jewellery and millinery pieces etc. I collect anything old and with a past life. Wishing you another 400 blogs and more! Tamara, Australia. (tamarabuckler@internode.on.net)

What a great idea to build a giveaway. It's probably easier to say what I don't collect. If I were to narrow down, I would say I collect teacups first and foremost. I also like skeleton keys, lace, and clock faces.

Congratulations on your 400th post. I've enjoyed reading them.

Wow this is a great giveaway! I love your blog so much and really want to go to your sale. We live in upstate NY so I am hopeing that it won't be to far and I can come. As to what I collect a better question would be what don't I collect. some of my favorite stuff is red transferware, silver items and I really am on the lookout for silverware, millinary, sewing notions, most anything red, grain sacks the plain kind with just the words or numbers, anything made of paper, watch faces or clock faces. You always have the most amazing photos and everything that you show always looks incredable you have the very best tast and I would love anything you would give me. Well if I can't come to your sale maybe we will get to meet in August at the Maddisom Bouckville antique fest. I can't wait for that. I was so sad last year, I was way over due with my son( almost 3 weeks) and got special clearence from my doctor, only to have my car breakdown! We are only 30 minutes away and I couldn't go. I was really miserable all weekend and pretty much have not gotten over it!

Big Congratulations to the 400 : ) I just love looking at the pictures you post. I have a few things that really makes my heart go to still first and then I get the rush... when I see antique and vintage numbers, old office rubber stamps, books and linen & lace... One time I bought an antique book (in my blog) and I loved the cover, hours later got home and I sat down with a tea and started to look thought the book, and it was the most amazing moment ever. The lady who had the book so many years ago, had left many sweet things with in it (old silk lace, ribbons, news paper clips and pressed flowers)... That made my heart sing.
Im going to try to post the link to your post on my side bar...

Thanks for the beautiful pisctures, they are a huge treat.

Oh Laura, you have such a dreamy blog. I started out the other day on it, wanting to post a comment here, but got carried away browsing through it. I would love being entered in your give back. I have a particular affinity for purple or white violets. Other things that tickle me to pieces are rusty cast iron, seed pearls, tiny frozen Charlotte dolls, cloches of any size, tarnished silver, cookie cutters, lilies of the valley, weathered wood, faded millinery flowers, vintage ephemera, birds & nests, bits and bobs of old sewing notions (tattered lace, needle books, bobbins, threadbare linens & the like), floral frogs from bygone eras, mercury glass, vintage holiday postcards, baby shoes (the older the better!), variations of whites (especially buttons), and bits of red to throw into my kitchen! I guess I pretty much enjoy the same kinds of things you do. And I like how Eileen of Star's Fault said it, "...our love for old things has a lot to do with the longing for a safe haven away from the hustle of modern life..." I thoroughly agree.
Thank you for the opportunity to win this wonderful give back! It feels like we should be giving back to you for sharing a lovely part of yourself with us!

I have loved to collect paper weights since I was in my teens...that would be the 3 decades now! And I also collect the little bits of broken pottery, mainly blue and white, can be found in many an English garden's soil. I wonder, "where has this come from, who used it, and how did it come to be here?"
