Playing with a few Easter decorations... I bought this pretty table runner last year at a close out sale...
The little bunny is an old tea drip catcher sitting on a cushion made from antique fabrics...by Kim Stout of Thistle Hill. The heart was made using antique fabrics by my mother in law.
A few of my old chocolate molds.
...very pale blue eggs...
Spring is finally here! There is lots to celebrate... ...and lots to be grateful for!
Tomorrow I am beginning the big clean out... I will be going through boxes and closets and sorting and organizing. Things will go to the thrift store... in the "to be sold pile" and in the trash! This long overdue "spring cleaning" will continue for many weeks to come....
As a life long collector and having lived in the same home for over 36 years... well, to be honest...I don't know what I have!
Stay tuned as I am sure to uncover some long forgotten treasures... I will report my progress and my finds and may need some decision making help! Do I keep? throw out? sell? donate?
It is overwhelming...daunting in fact... ...but I am resolved to get it done!
To live content with small means.... To seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion.... To be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich.... To study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly.... To listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart.... To bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never.... In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common.... ...........this is to be my symphony.
Thank you to all the kindred spirits and kind souls who take the time to leave a comment......Your support and encouragement are deeply appreciated.....I read each and every message and as time allows, do my best to reply.
