Can't Help Feeling Bleu....Bleu-gris, Blue-vert

Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future...

I want to fly like an eagle
To the sea...
Fly like an eagle
Let my spirit carry me...
I want to fly like an eagle
Till I'm free...
Oh, Lord, through the revolution
(lyrics by Steve Miller)

Feeling a bit melancholy tonight....can you tell?

The good news is that I will be flying soon...next week,
... in fact I will be flying to the sea!

And while I'm there I will be visiting my parents and in-laws and sweet sister Lynn.
It is just for a week but it will be a nice transition period...
...a time to think about my plan of action...

I'm looking forward to some warm weather... walks on the beach...late night chats with my sister...early morning coffee with my mom and dad...
...Why am I melancholy? Gee, I just cheered myself up!

Too bad Starla and Mr. Flea are staying behind...
...but somebody has to hold down the fort!
:)

Don't you just love blue-gray...blue-green?
The colors of the sea.....

No?

If you could only see one color....which color would it be?

I hope you have a wonderful time with your parents and your sister. I love being with my sister and there is nothing that I would rather do than run around with her and sharing our thoughts.
Have a safe and happy trip.

Lovely blues! It would be hard to pick one color-I think maybe greens, the colors of plants and nature...so many hues. How nice you can spend some time with your family!

Laura,
Your photography is awesome...love the bleu's...love the ornaments in the bowl. The color does make me think of the ocean, my favorite place to be.
Have a great week, a time to celebrate the closing of one chapter of your life and the start of something new and exciting. Enjoy!

A wonderful song to have stuck in my head! (much better than the theme song from CSI) And to pick one color? That's a tough one. Right now I'm "feeling" BLUE with YOU!

I have a pair of pink tinted prescription sun glasses that I love, so I look at the world through "rose colored glasses" :)

Great Question!

One of my favorite songs!
That color would be the orangy color you see when you sit in the sun and close your eyes. I wish I could say this blue or a tattered powder pink, but I think I couldn't enjoy all of that if I couldn't enjoy the color of the sun.
I want to wish you a great day, but you'll probably have mixed feelings these days, hope the positive feelings prevail.

Oh my, thats a really difficult question, just one colour? I do love all the different shades of blue in the sea, but I think it would have to be green, a soft, gentle happy green.

Beautiful photographs, as always. The glass baubles are so precious.

For me it would be blue, and it would be the sea! I miss the Atlantic so much - frankly, the sea is always accessible in Britain, and when we moved to the US it was with my dad who was in the navy, so, more sea! The only downside of the south of France is that we're over two hours from either sea. I guess it doesn't sound like much to an American, so I should stop complaining! Have a wonderful time by the sea, Laura.

Dear Laura,
I LOVE your photographs, all are beautiful. The timepiece, the books in that lovely grey/blue, tied up with that beautiful blue ribbon.
What colour would I choose if I could only see one colour ? That's a hard question to answer. I think, maybe,(and don't hold me to this!!), an antique pinky/greyish/ lavendery colour !!!!
Wishing you a wonderful trip, Laura. XXXX

My favorite color changes with regularity, but blue always comes out close to or on the top! Love the images you shared with us today..makes me think of summer and the way blues always help me through the hot humid Kansas days...the cooling, soothing pale seaside tones that I love to decorate with that time of year. Right now, I am in love with the pale aqua that is popping up all over design world...it makes me so happy!

If I could only see one colour it would be in shades of blue..But I would need a splash of orange now and again ;-) Laura - the sea is invigorating, renewing and invigorating. Have a wonderful time - I personally couldn't imagine anything better than what you have planned. Affectueusement; Ange
