Remember This Blue

This past weekend we had such beautiful weather....

The forecast is for a week of rain beginning later tonight...

I intend to remember the beautiful blue sky of last weekend...
...to remember this gorgeous, rich, deep blue...
...to hold it in my heart and mind's eye until the next sunny day!

This little vintage blue book...The Easter Eggs... will surely help me remember...

...and these shiny, satiny blue beads...

What do you want to remember?
What do you hold in your heart and mind's eye?

Wishing you a happy Thursday with sunshine on the inside... if not outside!
:)

I have had many moments in my life where I consciously think to myself that I need to "make a memory". I take time to look around me and take it all in- the sights, sounds, smells, even the feeling of the air- to try to keep it imprinted. Lovely photos- what an adorable book!

Hi Laura,
What a beautiful book. I want to remember the times when I had no worries, like in childhood. Oh if I could have only known then what I know now, maybe I would have enjoyed it a bit more.Life has been extremely difficult for my family lately and I can't wait for the sun to shine down on us again!
Have a lovely rest of the week.
Sincerely,
Melinda

My color preference is always green/brown/gold and just now I realized why...those are the colors of my daughters hazel eyes...so beautiful!

Thank you for sharing...love the blues...the blue book made a beautiful impression on my brain...so pretty.

I remember how completely contended I am when Miss P grabs my hair with both hands and plants a slobbery kiss on my face. How can a baby make everything seem so much better? Thank you for calling up those memories!

I think the deep blue of the sky would be one of the things I would most like to remember...but it's that deep green blue of the sea that always appears the most elusive...And the feel of the wind on my face as I sit on a mountain top, the still of a lake at sunrise, my children's giggles. I think we must carry them with in us... don't you?

thank you so much for your most inspiring photograps and words..Sounds like everyone is very ready for spring..Here in California its not so desperate..Not until I started blogging (feb.13) did I realize how the rest of the country suffers through the winters. Fear not!! won't be long now..

Oh my gosh! That is so funny...I mean, I have been taking pictures of sunsets the past two evenings and I just said to myself I should take a picture of our blue sky before the rains come and I can't remember it at all! and then I view your blog and see you have done the very thing I thought! The blues that you have found that match the sky are remarkable. Thanks for the blues! hehehehe
