"Better Than A Cow"...
I was inspired by Dawn's post this morning over at the Feathered Nest... She was posting about an assemblage she is working on and it has to do with bees.....
She used this poem:
To make a prairie it takes a clover and one bee,
One clover, and a bee,
And revery.
The revery alone will do
If bees are few.

Well, that got me thinking about this little old piece of advertising crockery that I have on the ledge over my stove at the lake...

I love anything that is aged, crackled, and chippy! I have several of those old, classic Dundee jam pots and the more crackled the better! They look great with little sprigs of fern or ivy in them... the extent of my "green thumb". :)

I have the same jar!!!!!The writing at the bottom was worn out and I could not read the words condensed milk. Now I am so happy I know what it says. Do you think it was a jam jar? Does anyone know how old it is or where it was made? I picked it up last year in Cape May, NJ for about $7.00. Thanks, Joan
