Nature's Words
The day before the girls came to begin our antiquing adventure, there was a craft show in our little Adirondack town. A couple by the name of Henry and Theresa Sitko had a wonderful booth where they showcased their unique photographs of letters formed and found in nature. They frame their photographs in simple glass frames and then use them to create words...
Their customers can choose from a variety of letters to form their own unique words or sayings...
This is Henry with some of their creations....I did not get to meet Theresa but after reading about her and Henry on their website....I feel as if I know and like them both. To read about their story or view their website for pricing or contact information you can click here: www.natureswoods.com
This was my favorite....Grace was my Nana's name and is daughter Kate's middle name...
There are a variety of different photographs that form each letter...
... so you can pick and choose which combination works best for your word...
I enjoyed visiting this booth and thought the entire concept was fun and unique. I just can't decide what word I want!
There were other attractive booths with the crafts and creations of talented people...
Adirondack furniture...
As I walked down the aisle of craft booths I caught a glimpse of this wonderful skirt as this lovely lady moved behind her table setting up her jewelry booth.....I asked her if she would mind if I took her picture...she very graciously allowed me to do so. From tip to toe this is one stylish lady! I just loved all the detail! It is romantic and artistic....it's so me.....now if only I had her figure...
I was a tad embarrassed that I had imposed myself on her and been so bold as to ask to take her picture....she was busy putting the finishing touch on her booth....which I am sad to say I only glanced at. I think that she is wearing a necklace of the type she was selling....Lovely, like everything else about her!

The photos are to die for. I'll bet they're pretty popular. Looks like a fun day.

okay - so tell us - who designed her skirt...
I LOVE IT! and what was she selling? jewelry? clay figures? she looks like a fantastically cool art teacher....that I would have loved to have instead of the "bewler?.......bewler?" types I did have in art....
Looks like a wonderful place to be and shop! Much talent among this group! Have a blessed day!
Laura, what beautiful photographs of natures words. I too loved the Garce one, my mothers name is Engarcia which translated literally means in In Grace. So when I was growing up being the smart alec that I was I would always answer her "yes, In Grace of God" :) To this day she still doesn't get it :) Thank goodness cause even at 41 I might have a hard time explaining to my daughters why I can't sit very well :)Thank you for sharing there great pictures...Rose
What fun! You get to go to all the really great ones!
Hugs, Lisa
Hi Laura
Love these letters and think I have seem them somewhere on the internet. Great idea
Well this woman in the last shot looks fabulous! Very comfortable in her own skin [how great is that] x Julie
What a unique idea. The photo's are great. Sharon
I have seen the letters idea over here too at a crafty shop somewhere. It's a good idea isn't it? The lady's skirt reminds me of the sort of clothing we used to see in the shops in France and which we Brits hadn't seen in England at that time.
Sounds like you had a great day and I would have loved the yarn stall!

Hi dearest Laura, the Nature words Photographs are a wonderful idea!!! And thanks for showing us the nice lady in "your style" - before I read the text I asked myself if this could be a picture of YOU (I am not sure if I have ever seen a Laura-photo on your blog ... if there is one please tell me where I have to search for. Oh - and because you wrote "if only I had her figure": Whatever your "figure" is, I am sure you are a wonderful, authentic, sympathic looking woman!!! (I know the photos of your so creative friend Laura, and may be she is not a supermodel, but she looks so real, so heart-warming, that's her way of being good-looking, and I think it is the best way!) Hugs and lots of "Küschelbüschel"! Traude

thanks so much for sharing those wonderful photos, how very creative and unique. Looks like it was a very interesting show!
Those pictures are so neat, I once saw some that were words spelled out with architectural designs, I wonder if that is the same? Sounds like you all had a fantastic time, what fun!!!!
Love that skirt, I wish I could wear something like that!!
Thanks for sharing all that!!!
Cheers,
Margaret B
Hello Laura, I was so excited to see your post today about the Nature Words! My blog (and my life) is so full of Nature, I must visit them and order a sign for our home, thank you for sharing! Also, I loved the pretty skirt and cute lady wearing it... I am never shy about asking someone like that if I can take their picture... I have never been turned down yet... seems like most of the people I meet antiquing or gardening are very nice people...and most happy to share...
Your ability to share your honest feelings about photographing the woman in the skirt are an inspiration to all. YOU I like!
Those nature letters were incredible thank you for sharing them with us. I loved the skirt too. I know what you mean we get caught up in what we see that sometimes we forget to check the whole picture out. I just think it is our excitement takes over.
