Rugged Yet Handsome
The prism topped bottle and three wire vases are from Anthropologie....
...you know my weakness for the treasure in that amazing shop...
Red metal heart....a gift from dear Evi...
To add to my growing collection of old watch faces... I recently ordered two more from my friend Joan at Anything Goes Here...
My handsome and charming grandfather....
....Tower Ingraham...
He trained polo ponies back in the 1920's....quite a dashing figure...wouldn't you say?

I love the woman's face tile..I'm guessing whatever it is is extraordinary. Anthro is such an addicition. I was so proud that I walked right by the other day in an effort to save for vacation....not easy!!!
Your grandfather looks like the romantic figure of all those old movies. Dashing indeed!!!
He is one handsome guy. Thanks for the nice mention! The watch faces look great in their new home! Everything as usual looks wonderful. Happy almost weekend.
Your grandfather looks just like the actor Rupert Graves! Or I guess I should say, Rupert Graves looks like your grandfather. Very handsome men, both of them.
What lovely photos. Your blog is quite unique and I'm guessing very "you"? Love it.

Dear Laura,
your grandfather looks very handsome...and those things that you have ordered fits perfectly the atmosphere of your home.
As always, it makes me so happy to see your post. It is a real pleasure to enter your world.
Thank you!!
Have a great day,
Magdalena at Color Sepia
Hi Laura,
ANTHRO...I was there this past Saturday. I had restraint. I love everything in that store. One of the vintage chairs though...the kind that some would definitely toss...was $420!!! It was this simple little wooden chair. It had a cute boho pillow on it and that made it so special! I admired and then made note to look for something similar at the thrift store! I spoke to one of the clerks. She said that the store is staffed with 3 interior designers, 2 or 3 visual artists....etc! So, there's lots of "pro" inspiration for decorating that's free there! Your grandfather was very good looking...The Roaring 20's...That's my favorite decade to dream about!
Have a super day!!!

great photos, laura. i'm running over to my blog to make a quick correction. i attributed a neat idea to someone else yesterday, and it was you, not the french Cupboard. i'll go fix it right now...need to get my "FCATS" straight before posting, eh? have Great day! *e*

Hi Laura...love all the metal tones (thinking about repainting my bedroom!)...love the juxtaposition with whimsy and pretty. The stone (concrete?) block with ethereal face is wonderful also..Thanks for the wonderful images.
All beautiful!! And your grandfather (love the name) was quite dapper!
Love the photo of your grandfather and his intriguing background. Verrry dashing.
Oh Laura, what a nice comment on my blog again, thank you so much!) - I'm so happy that you can understand my blogpost now! (Today I postet a new one.) And what wonderful pictures you show us once again! I hope you know that you are miraculous! May be your good looking grandpa with the amazing name and the interesting profession was as miraculous as you are?! (His forename realy was Tower?! I hope he was a tall man! ;-)) When I saw the prism the first time I wasn't sure if it is a painting... The picture looks so ... "feathery" (I hope this is the right word... should say "like a feather, tender...") So wonderful treasures again - and I don't know if I should be sad or happy because we don't have a shop like Anthropologie in Austria ;-)! Take care, Traude
Yes, your grandfather is VERY easy on the eyes...
He is handsome - love the old photos! I too have an old watch face collection, don't ya just love them?! And, of course, love Anthro too!!

So many precious things here, especially your grandfather's photo. And what an exciting way of leaving...training polo horses!!!

Hi Laura,
Thanks for your comments on my blog. I'm always taking pictures of windows and doors; still don't know what to do with them, but one day something will come up!
Love LOVE todays photos on your post. They are really pretty.
Thanks for sharing,
Rossa
Now I see where you get your good looks from Miss Laura. He has that Clark Gable moustache. Clark who married Carole Lombard.....who I am supposed to be named after. Strangely enough have never seen a picture of her!
I think it's time to google her!lol
