If you have been following along with 52 FLEA for a while...
...my good friend Paula is no stranger to you.
Her charming home has been featured here many times.
Paula has been my number one antiquing and junking partner
for the last ten to twelve years.
We have shared a lot of adventures and awesome trips
to antique shops, flea markets,
big shows like Brimfield and Bouckville
as well as local New England yard sales.
We have had a lot of fun and found many treasures.
As you know, I am just beginning to part with a few of mine
through my little booth at Schoolhouse Treasures
in upstate New York.
Paula has now decided to part with a few of her special pieces.
...and I thought I could help her out by posting a few things here.
Paula has amazing taste and over the years has found some really unique things and made some exceptional purchases.
This French bee skep with its unusual square base
has been one of my favorites.
I took it outside to photograph it from all angles
and so that you can clearly see the details.
This beautiful antique French bee skep was not purchased to re-sell.
Paula bought it from a wonderful shop that featured authentic French treasures, because she loved it.
I think this piece is so special...don't you?

Thank you....the bee skep has been SOLD!
Since Paula does not have a blog of her own
and since so many of you have come to know her through
52 FLEA I thought I could help her out and perhaps help you,
if you are one of my blogger friends who love her style,
by putting you in contact with each other.

Over the next week, I will be showcasing a second antique bee skep
and a group of wonderful French botanicals from the 1920's that Paula will offer for sale.

LOVE the bee skep! I used to be a bee keeper and I've seen lots of skeps, but none like that. How I wish I could afford it ~ what a treasure it would be for someone who loves bees.

I collect bee related items and Paula's skep is fabulous. I am sure someone will snap it up.
I would give it a loving home but I am in the UK so I shall do what I do most weeks and simply pop back to your lovely blog to see the photos. :) Lella xx

Hugs, Evi
Bee hive, yes, but skep? I had never heard the term until this post. I even Googled it and found everything I ever wanted to know about bee hive design. It is truly a work of folk art and I bet Paula will miss it but hopefully, some new treasure will come her way.
I never heard that term before ~ but am happy that you taught it to us. The bee skep is perfectly charming!
Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
VERY special. I have never seen such a thing! Jud would pass out if I bought it ;-)
Thinking of you and hope things are going ok with you. I know it has been a hard year!
Hugs,
Suz
