Warm Hands...Full Hearts

The barbecue spare ribs and scalloped potatoes are in the oven...
....mmm it warms the kitchen nicely on this bitter cold day.

A special thanks to those of you who missed me
the last few days and for your sweet notes of concern.

My Mom is being released from the hospital
this afternoon to the care of hospice.

We are so grateful that she has pulled through
her emergency surgery and fully expect to share
a beautiful Christmas with the entire family.

Thank you all for your continued prayers!

This has been quite a year...
...full of change, reflection and personal growth.

And...it's not over yet!

Although this Christmas season is quite different
as we face an uncertain future,
we are ever grateful for so many beautiful and joyful memories
 of past wonderful holidays...

We will continue to try to make each moment count!
I hope that you are able to do the same...
:)

Linking up to Kathleen's White Wednesday!

Good news that Mom can come home...we take the good with the bad one day at a time, don't we.
It's tough to see our parents age...
Hope you have a wonder-filled season.

Hi Laura,
My prayers are with you and your family. Be thankful for each day you have your Mom. I had my Mom until she was 92 and I am thankful for every day that I was blessed to have her. This will be my first Christmas without her and my sencond without my husband. Thank you God for the days I was blessed to have each of them. Take care and hope you have a nice holiday season. Jan

Hi Laura-So sorry you are going through this at this time of year. I still miss my mom and feel cheated that she passed so many years ago (22 years ago already, I can't even believe it). She is with me everyday, though. I know you will cherish each and every day with her and carry that with you forever....

Oh so sweet - I just love the items you feature in your photos! Beautiful.

I hope I didn't confuse anybody by changing the name of my blog to "New England Style" from "Michelle Jamieson Interiors". I'll be posting about it SOON - but in the meantime, wanted to let you know that it is in fact ME.

Dear Laura,

I'm so sorry to hear about this concern of your mother, but am glad to hear that she is recover. But I get the sense that the future for her is uncertain. I do not know the hole story. But I am very happy that you may celebrate Christmas together. That's really all we want, be with those you are most fond of.

I would like to thank you for the nice comment you left with me, I was so happy about it! And in addition there are many new visitors that visits me who says they have found my blog through you. It's really nice:)

Have a nice Advent, warm greeting
Aina
