Coffee? Tea? The lazy days of summer are slipping away...
Autumn is in the air... It's just a matter of time.
My three red enamel pots were a hit this summer... ...sitting festively on the deck rail up at the lake.
They provided pops of color against the green background of the forest... ...much like the red geraniums and impatiens stood out from the background of the dark green cottage.
They won't appear quite as striking as the green leaves turn golden, orange and red... But they will still look inviting as we sip our tea and coffee and welcome the cooler temperatures here in the mountains.
Are you sad to see the summer go? Or are you excited by the return of routine and the busy schedules of autumn?
Summer or autumn? They both have their charm... :)
To live content with small means.... To seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion.... To be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich.... To study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly.... To listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart.... To bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never.... In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common.... ...........this is to be my symphony.
Thank you to all the kindred spirits and kind souls who take the time to leave a comment......Your support and encouragement are deeply appreciated.....I read each and every message and as time allows, do my best to reply.
