My thrifty trip home was lovely... ...yesterday was one of those perfect days to be on the road... ...beautiful clear skies...no traffic....no time table.
I did manage to find a few little things but have not had time to photograph them as when I got home... ...there were dishes to wash, laundry to do, beds to change and... ...the cat box.
And then dinner.
Sigh. You know the drill all too well!
In any case, remember these 3 tin kitchen cutters that I found this summer?
They fit on my wrist like bangels... OOOoooo.....
My idea is to make them into funky artsy cuffs.... ...and wear them to Silver Bella!
Here's my start... It looks like a little crown...doesn't it?
OK, stop laughing at me. I'm determined to create something spectacular out of my kitchenware.
Meanwhile, I updated my Picasa software and now have the capability of using Picnik to alter my photos.
The above is my very first altered photo. I have no idea what I am doing but oh my goodness...the possibilities!
Uh oh.... ...now I will never get anything done around here!
Well, the boys finally got somewhat of a supper last night and their shirts ironed. Starla is happy with clean kitty litter.
Laura-I love your idea! It looks great. Also I'm impressed by your picture. I have picassa and picnic, but still haven't figured out too much. I've played a little, but you are right-more to take up time that I don't have right now! gail
...oooohhhhhhhaaaahhhhhhh!! I adore your wrist crown!! Look out, as it may just be the big hit at silver bella ~ and then even more creative souls will be at your fingertips!LOL!!! xo, Rosemary
Oh, Laura, you clever girl!! What a great idea...I love bracelets and old kitchen things. I could see myself wearing something like that...show us more when you get them, OK? Annette
Ahhh, so nice to hear someone else trying to juggle everything. It gets pretty crazy at times, doesn't it??? LOVE the altered photo through picnik. Now where to find the time to set it up..... xo lynn
Please don't be to 'normal' - I like you just the way you are! These photos are wonderful as is your artsy cuff idea - I think it looks very regal. I hope your parents had a good trip back, how lucky you were to be able to spend some quality time with them. So looking forward to seeing all your other finds on your trip back. Hugs
Ciao Laura! What a nice idea and what nice pictures you made!!!! I'm curious about your last finds...hope to see them soon! It's raining today..I'm afraid I won't be able to go to the beach this week end! Wish you a nice one! Hugs Vale
Grateful and content...
...life long collector of objects with history and soul; discovering my creative self and sharing bits and pieces along the way...
To live content with small means.... To seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion.... To be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich.... To study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly.... To listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart.... To bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never.... In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common.... ...........this is to be my symphony.
Thank you to all the kindred spirits and kind souls who take the time to leave a comment......Your support and encouragement are deeply appreciated.....I read each and every message and as time allows, do my best to reply.
