A Little Blue and White

At a local thrift store recently...
... I found a pretty creamer and matching egg cup.

These two pretty pieces weren't perfect...
...they each had a small hairline.

Imperfection doesn't bother me.

In fact...it makes things more personal...
more authentic in a way...

I'm not perfect either.

I love the pretty blue floral decoration against the glossy white china.

There were other larger, matching pieces in the thrift store that day.
...but they were perfect and commanded a higher price.

I am content with my two little slightly less than perfect pieces.
...Just the right size for a small bouquet...

Just sitting here waiting for friends and family to arrive...
The candles are lit...
...the music is playing...
...refreshments are ready...

It is going to be a fun weekend!
Hope it is fun for you too...
:)

I so agree with you about imperfections...they lend history to an object. And as you said, we are not perfect. These are both beautiful and sweet.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Oh Laura,
How pretty. I don't mind the imperfections of time, either. They are so pretty and, as you say, just waiting for a small country bunch of wildflowers,
Have a lovely family, fun filled weekend. XXXX

I'm certainly not perfect either so maybe that's why I'm drawn to the imperfect too.
Have fun with your family and company!
