August Treasure Hunt

...my photo layered with a Kim Klassen texture.

Dan and I are back at the lake with my parents and sister Mary Beth and nephew Joe...

It promises to be another beautiful August day in the Adirondacks and I will be off treasure hunting bright and early Saturday morning!

I am headed toward Indian Lake and Blue Mountain Lake as the annual Antique Show is at the museum. I am not sure if I will make it to the actual show as the peripheral dealers who tailgate along the route usually keep me pretty entertained.

On the drive up Dan humored me and we stopped at one of my favorite antique cooperative shops ....

...I found a few things that tickled my fancy... oh, yes I did!

...pictures tomorrow evening!

I promise!

Hey Laura. Oh' how a weekend in the Adirondacks sounds good to me. My son lives in upstate NY but I've never been there. I picture it dreamy cool and comfortable. (I may be hallucinating because of the heat).

Hope you have a wonderful time with the family and lots of luck treasure hunting.

Hugs...Tracy :)

P.S. Having a giveaway ~ Hope you'll stop by and enter.

Love the names of those lakes...the visions they evoke! It's got to be cooler in the mountains than it is here in Dallas.
He humored you huh? Sounds to me like he's spoiling you!
Enjoy!
Debbie
P.S. Talk about making sweet music together...that photo is wonderful.

Laura you know I had a shop years ago. Couldn't make it and had to close in the 80's.
I remember going to auctions and taking trips to Carolina's looking for items. That was a fun time, never bored are you.

I love the texture, and what you've done with it. Is it odd that it makes me want to find out how to create textures?

Indian Lake...I've never been to the Adirondacks, but then living in Oregon makes that more difficult. I'd love to see them, though. In the meantime, the song, "Indian Lake is the place you should take your little ones. Just keep it in mind if you're looking to find a place in the summer sun" is taking the place of real travel! (Am I the only one on the planet who remembers that 60's hit?)
