Woven Silver

Because so many of you are artists and appreciate exquisite craftsmanship I thought I would share these two sterling silver necklaces with you....they are not only beautiful but hold very special meaning for me....

Both were made by renowned silversmith's Pat and Butch Bramhall of The Stonehouse Silversmiths............You will be in awe when you see their work....

This intricately woven sterling silver bird's nest was the second of two pieces that my husband bought for me.......

The first was this sterling silver fishing creel.......a gift from Rob for our 25th wedding anniversary....(the silver anniversary of course) which was over ten years ago now!

This intricate basket has a leather strap and a tiny gold buckle.....both pieces came with unique hand made silver chains.....

These two beautiful silver necklaces are dear to me....and I enjoy and wear them often.....Over the years the cost of the work of these talented artists has risen dramatically and I feel very fortunate that we have two of their pieces. If you look at the creations on their website.....check out "Little Sweet Stitches"......

Isn't the creativity and execution of the work of these artists amazing?

Hi Laura,
They're both beautiful and such workmanship. The little fishing creel is so sweet and reminds me of my grandfather's which he wore as a child that still hangs in my uncle's house off the mantel. Thank you for sharing both of your sentimental pieces. They are beautiful and so nice they share such a special place in your heart.

Oh I love these necklaces!! What truly tedious work to make these!

My 25th is coming up in a month! (Hard to believe!) Maybe I should start "hinting" now for something beautiful like these necklaces. :)

Thanks Laura!

Ruth

P.S. Your pillow will be shipping to you in the next couple of days!! :)

Those are very, very special pieces. You have made me think about how good it is to support new artists - not only did you support these silversmiths when they were new(er) but you also got to buy works that would be far more expensive now!

Those pieces are stunning. How sweet of Rob to get you such beautiful jewelry. I'd usually be partial to the nest but the creel is so well done I can't decide which is my favorite.
Hope to see you soon too.

They are both beautiful pieces. I'm sure you enjoy wearing them. They are so intricate, and fine. How amazing they can do that with silver.
Thanks for sharing, and what a nice sweet husband.
