An early morning walk...
... a few springs of wild thistle by the roadside...
It doesn't take much sometimes...
...to get me in the mood...
....the mood to get my camera out...
...to try to capture the details ...
...the colors...
...the textures...
...the beauty that surrounds us.
...what mood are you in today?

Oh Laura, I can picture you walking along and seeing a few springs of wild thistle by the roadside...and wanting to get your camera! I love my camera and love taking photographs! It brings joy to me to take a picture of anything outdoors and of course, my grandkids!
Great mood, Saturday evening and we ordered in!

What a lovely series. You are an inspiration. It makes me want to be more patient when photographing what I find interesting. It is also a challenge to add things to make my photographs more interesting. Thank you.
I'm in a much better mood after looking at your beautiful photos of simplicity. It's the simple things that makes us happy, especially flowers, shells and lace.

I'm glad I stopped in today ~ I needed a reminder to stop and enjoy the simple things. Because it is there that we find true beauty!
A rainy, melancholy day here in the midwest. Looking forward to seeing nature drink it in and revitalize!
Have a great weekend!

Let me try this again, "Makes my heart skip a beat"~xoxo Carol
Oooh, very pretty! Well I'm in the mood to take a long walk but being in a cast and crutches prevents that, so I think I will walk through blog-world!
Gorgeous photos!

So pretty!! and I noticed they are a little different than the ones I just brought home from the roadside here in Texas. The flower looks the same, but the part under the bud is much longer on yours...also I don't see any barbs. Ours require gloves to touch!! Come take a peek.
Very Pretty! Love the thistle, right now we have Queen Anns Lace, which is one of my favorites, all over in the ditches and I keep forgetting to bring my clippers in the car... maybe I should walk more!
Blessings

Lovely photos. It's sometimes so hard to capture what your eyes see with a camera lens but you manage every time.
I went to a jumble sale yesterday, so today I will play with my new treasures, enjoy the garden and the beautiful weather and I have to start to paint some chairs. Have a great Sunday too! Love your photos! Though thistle is not my favorite flower, you can change my mind!
You have made me feel like getting out the camera too....Have a happy Sunday, xv.
That color...oh, I must have it somewhere, soon! Thank you for capturing it. Lovely photos...
I can't help but think that your lovely inspirational vignette photos and commentary would be wonderful all compiled in book form, Laura. What do you think?
Hmmm, what a luscious blog. I'll be back!

Your photographs are just delightful. That delicate and beautifully soft lilac/lavender colour set off by the gorgeous lace and the creamy white shell, wow.
Laura, your photos are so lovely, makes me think of Scotland.....the lace is incredible, I wish I had time to crochet more trims....nothing compares to that delicate and romantic edging.
I love how you are inspired by things and then end up with the most charming vignettes and photos!!!
Hugs,

Beautiful pictures. The weathered weed and the rusty nails look great incontrast with the fragile lace.
Nice
