Touch of Turquoise
Remember this little door that I found at Madison Bouckville in August?
I finally got around to cleaning off the dirt...while preserving the chippy paint as much as possible...A little bit of turquoise is peeking out from under the old white paint...
I'm loving the color...the blue green...the last of the summer skies and ocean seas...
Turquoise, blue, green...
...calm and peaceful...
Have a restful night!

Hi Laura. Nothing more exciting than a bit of turquoise! I was actually photographing some antique fabric today (really old 18th century scrap)...found just the tiniest thread of aqua. So curious to know more, always so many interesting stories behing the objects we find! Trish

funny....Just started working on a design studio and the entry door has been very weathered for years...it was said take off the door and sand it , i said no its beautiful just the way it looks...i took a stiff brush and swept it clean...it resembles your door...funny that i should run across it tonight...no mistakes..lovely site in many ways..i will be back to visit it often..
love the patina on your door. I collect old chippy, worn, and wonderful. Yours is great. Sandi
Just enough colour to be perfect
Mmm why does this chippy paint that shines through in another color isn't available in cans? (then it wouldn't be that special anymore!) Have a great day!
Naturally distressed objects are beautiful aren't they Laura....if you tried to distress it youself it would never be quite the same.
Turquoise is such a great colour....I wonder who painted it and how long ago ? xxxx
tout en douceur!
j'aime beaucoup Laura.
