Vintage Black Friday 3

What a busy week! I wanted to play VBF again this week so here are a few old black things from my stash of stuff and photographs! Love those Flinch cards....my sister Lynn and I used to play that at our Nana's house when we were kids. The little shoe is one of a pair of teeny, tiny, sparkly Cinderella like shoes....found when out antiquing with Paula a few years ago...

Speaking of shoes.....I saw these in a store window in Florence, Italy back in September while we were there on our wonderful trip....Rob and sister Lynn were dragging me through the cobblestone streets searching for DAVID....I was snapping pictures all the way!
Amazing shoes, yes?

We did eventually find DAVID but...sadly the exhibit was closed on Mondays!
(Next time!...always optimistic that there will be another trip in the future!)

To see other participants in Vintage Black Friday visit Jill at Gypsy Brocante!

Fun weekend ahead....craft show, flea market and tomorrow is Rob's birthday!

Hi Ho, Hi Ho....It's Off to Work I Go!

This afternoon, while I was home on my lunch hour... my Mom in law brought over these beautiful red cherries .....

Not long ago......I found this French red and white monogrammed tape on Ebay......I went for it because the initials were HO......

......and I already had this European grain sack monogrammed HI........

Put them together and......HI HO, HI HO......it's off to work I go......

Just like the seven dwarfs in Snow White.......
Lunch hours are just too short.....only 60 minutes!

Those bright red cherries inspired me to run about on my lunch hour and pull out a few props to pair them with......

A little girl's sweet vintage dress....

A lively cherry print apron from Anthropologie..........

Cherry Anyone?
Hi Ho, Hi Ho......it's back to work I go!

The Mystique of the Glass Cloche

The mystique of the glass cloche.....it seems everything we put under a cloche immediately makes it seem special.....sets it apart and elevates its status. This little scene was put under glass several years ago.....The pretty pink tag (by Kerri Judd for F.G.&Co.) and sparkly shoes together with the old glass doorknob still make me smile......it doesn't take much!
