Beautiful vintage lingerie was my favorite find at the flea market this week...
It was a cold and misty morning but this afternoon the sun came out and the dogwoods and Japanese cherry tree reveled in the warmth of the spring sunshine...
I was reading Corey Amaro's post about her venture to the brocante this morning and it was utterly romantic ...
both her words and images...
...sigh...oh to be in the south of France...
And then my friend Deb from Yaya Chique did a post entitled Find the Beauty in Your Own Backyard...
...and so I did.
Although I will continue to dream of returning to France one day...
...I am content to find the beauty and romance right here at home...
And it isn't hard this time of year...
...what could be more romantic than lingerie and pink blooms?
...and here they are... in my own backyard..
It was a smaller market today but I was still able to find some things to take home with me...
...I am easily satisfied!
I have several wonderful ruffly petticoats...but it wasn't until I read Zita of Mlle Magpie's post on dying vintage slips that I started to notice more lovely lingerie while thrifting...
So, thank you Corey, Deb and Zita!
You have all inspired me today!
I promise to show more thrifting treasure later on this week...
The 400th post Give-Back is set to end on noon, Monday 4/19.
Thank you one and all for your lovely comments and for sharing all your favorite things!
Winner to be announced Monday night.
As a new week begins, I intend to keep looking for the beauty and romance in my own backyard...
...It promises to be a good week...
...especially for Mr. Flea.
:)
