Spring Blossoms

This time of the year...
...my heart sings, my energy level pumps up and I feel inspired.
Does that happen to you too?

Just thought I would pop in to share some quick IPhone photos
that I have taken in the last few days.

I love playing with my lilacs.
If you have followed along these last four years,
you know that our lilacs are family blooms...
some were my grandmother's, Mr. Flea's grandmother's
and the deep double French were my Mom's.

The dogwoods this past week were stunning.
We have just one pink...the rest are white.

And...of course, I love using my vintage, rustic treasures
to hold the all the beautiful blossoms
we are lucky enough to have on the property.

My fascination with Instagram continues,
but my son Dan will be happy to know
that I have been using my Canon big girl camera again
and now that we have replaced my 8 year old laptop
(may she rest in peace)
with a new one that is fast and has lots of storage...
I hope to blog a bit more often as well.

Wishing you a lovely spring!
I can't wait to get back up to the lake!

Take care!

Hi Laura, love the photos your flowers look lovely! Spring always makes me feel better, the warmer weather tends to do that doesn't it? I also perk up more in Spring and Summer than in the depths of winter when I want to do is snuggle up and keep warm. Have a lovely weekend. Sharon x

Beautiful lilacs...and the phone pictures turned out beautiful! I try to remember to keep my good camera at the ready, then again you worry if it's not in a safe place it might get damaged or beat up.

I meant to email you and tell you how much I enjoyed your recent magazine feature. I loved your story and learned a bit more about you, and loved the pics of your home. I never knew Evi was such an inspiration for you (and rightly so!). And a very sweet lady to boot!

We are looking forward to getting up to our lakehouse, too! The fish are jumping and I want a hammock this summer! :)

XO,
Jane

I love seeing the beautiful blooms from your garden Laura. I can only imagine how lovely it is there in your part of the county.
I love that your lilacs are all from your families. I have two old bushes that were originally planted by my great grandmother and are precious to me.

Your blooms are lovely and so are your pictures! I had to laugh at the "may she rest in peace) because I too, just replaced a laptop. Am having a difficult time learning the ways of a tablet!

We were up to our lake last weekend... it was cold and rainy the first two days but then we had some beautiful rays!

Enjoy your weekend,
Jillian

Wow, your Iphone photos are gorgeous! They are so sharp and clear and the colors are so vibrant!

Love that white lilacs coffee tin. Lilacs remind me of my childhood home. We had lilac bushes bordering our property.

Just popping by to see if my Laura was still around. Sending you wishes for a wonderful week. Can you believe it is autumn already? I know after the winter you all endured last year it may be hard to face it again so soon, so you have been in my thoughts lately. Here's to a milder winter for you!
