Good morning!
Yesterday, the late afternoon sunshine peeked through my window here at the lake house and lit up the green glass on the windowsill.
...and the blue glass.
:)
I've been busy up in the attic...
It's amazing how much stuff you can stash away over 23 summers!
Yard sales, thrift stores and flea markets...
Oh my!
...here the fading sun streams across the kitchen counter tops
that Dad and I painted gray last summer.
(wasn't that fun?!)
It turns out that I have waayyyy too many treasures to keep.
Mr. Flea calls it junk.
Dad calls it inventory.
One of my neighbors up here...
...who has been greatly amused watching me
drag all this stuff out of the camp...
...called it
semi precious recyclables.
don't you love it? :)
Setting up a new booth at Schoolhouse Treasures...
...hoping to free up some space here at the lake house.
Next week we have a houseful...
...of friends and family...
...hopefully not junk, inventory or
semi precious recyclables!
:)
What are you all up to this weekend?
celebrating the 4th? vacation? gardening? cleaning out?
Let me know and I'll read all about your goings on tonight...
...for now...I'm back to work and off the computer!
:)

Oh how I'd love to shop from your "stuff" (: and isn't it interesting how others view it? btw, it's great having your posts on FB.
Laura, oh my, I see some treasures I'd like to add to my inventory. Are you selling the cold cream and anchovy past pots? Please let me know. I have just the spot to add these two.
Hanging out here in the house this weekend. No special plans for the 4th at this time, but who knows.

I call those treasures, Laura! Darn good finds :-) And, fabulous photos as usual. I love that wirework glass jar with the utensils. And those iron / metal (?) utensils with the curly ends / fiddlehead ends....looks like you have 4 of those. Thanks for sharing your treasures. :)
Another great post - that blue glass is so peaceful, just love it! Your photos are so crisp too, like being there. ; ~ ) x
OMG... Loving it called Semiprecious Recyclables! I may have to borrow that Phrase for all my Junque! *Winks* If I wasn't already in the midst of a Great Edit and Purge of 2012 myself I'd be chomping at the bit to add some of your Treasures that you are letting go to my Stash! *LOL* See how afflicted I am?!? *Smiles*

Ooh lovely recyclables - I couldn't part with any of it...you have some lovely things and it's always so nice to use things you've had stashed away for such a long time! Happy weekend! Sharonx
LOVE the lighting!! The screen behind almost looks like a chalkboard-love that! Also, you mentioned the painted countertops-I remember when you discussed that last year-how have they held up?? Thinking about doing this myself and would love to know. Thanks!

This is a funny post! I'm getting a kick out of everyone's view on junk. It's so hard to make that get rid of pile. Isn't it? I just cleaned out my closet ;)
Have a great weekend and fun time at the lake.

Who wouldn't love a post that contains:
a lake house
green glass,
semi-precious recyclables
and your sunny pictures?
You are brave to be spending time in that hot attic but I'm sure it's fun to rediscover things you hadn't seen in years.
Happy 4th with family and friends

I want the wire silverware thingy! I don't know where the sale is, but you can mail it right?

Hi Laura,
I absolutely love these photos, they are so beautiful and artistic!
I wish I could have been there while you were cleaning out the attic,
I could have relieved you of some of those semi-precious recyclables! :)
