Pink Fluff

Pink Fluff.
Our Japanese cherry tree is already losing it's pretty pink petals...
they seemed a bit different this year...more papery and ruffly.
(not sure those are real words :))
Never the less, they were still so beautiful
a few days ago when I took these photos.

A big hello and warm welcome to new readers and followers.
Many thanks for all your lovely comments.
It is so nice to meet new friends.

I did something really stupid yesterday...
...forgetting that even though I feel 20 something in my mind...
I'm fifty something and well...
...not exactly in the same great shape I once was.
Anyway...I pulled something in my back and it's rendered me helpless...motionless...bored and frustrated.
Grrrr...
I'm so mad at myself!
Hoping things will improve soon!

Hope you are having a good week.
:)

  23. Isn't it frustrating to feel like you can do anything you once could only to have the ol' body say "No..you can't. I won't let you."?
I could tell you to take it easy...but would you listen?
Love cherry blossoms...reminds me of the tree in our back yard back in the day.

  36. Your photos are just dreamy. Thank you so much for sharing.
It has gotten chilly here in Southern PA. We have been so spoiled with warm temperatures that when it is normal we are surprised! But so many of our plants have bloomed so early, it is very unusual. I just hope the chilly temps don't do damage to the many orchards we have here.
I hope you feel better soon.

  37. Sumptuous photos! I just love those Cherry Blossoms. They don't grow here in Santa Barbara. When I visited Vancouver, Canada, they were in full bloom everywhere and just stunning. Sorry about your back...has happened to me also. However....although I wish I were 30 something...I'm planning to continue acting like I am, even though I'm 60 something! Hope you feel like you're 20 something again very soon!!! Carla

  44. Hi Laura,

I love these pretty blooms! Indeed so fluffy and pretty. So sorry to hear about your back. I developed a herniated disk 2 yrs ago, and it stopped me from doing a lot of things too. I had a housecleaning business, and I can no longer do it. :( I know how you feel. Hope you're better soon. Just give it some time.

    Hugs,
    Debbie
