Still Floating

I am still floating after Will and Kate's beautiful fairytale wedding.
Sigh...

Even Mr. Flea indulged me and got up early to watch the spectacular event.

With my head in the clouds of romantic thoughts and the beautiful spring blossoms that are pulling me outside...

...well, let's just say...
...my mind isn't in the right place to be
cleaning up and organizing my messy home today.

There must be a flea market somewhere!

Have a great Saturday!
:)

  3. Your pink cherry blossoms are heavenly! :)

Yes, still floating here.. I couldn't get the visions out of my mind when I was trying to get to sleep last night. I loved her dress & heard she did her own makeup - because she wanted William to reconize her - how sweet. Don't know if that's a fact, but I read it somewhere.

  5. I feel the same way, Laura. Wasn't it a beautiful and elegant wedding?!! So nice that Mr. Flea got up to watch with you - my girls eventually joined me in watching. I do think those two have a chance of a successful marriage. Let's hope their fairy tale lives on... :)

  6. Hi Laura,
Loved your photos...you captured the details of each flower petal. The Royal Wedding was beautiful, wasn't it? Worth getting up early for...
Maybe your last line should be our mantra when we all get stressed by our daily routines: "There mucst be a Flea Market somewhere"...I'm going to remember that one!

  10. Wasn't it fabulous? I have been on the phone with my sister in London all weekend. I think we had a better view than she did (minus the excitement, union jacks, and champagne)

  11. Dearest Laura,
your blossom-photos are great! And yes, the wedding was fairytale-like. But I just caught a little glimpse of it, because my nephew married at the same day :o) My talented daughter made the wedding-cake - I think I will post photos of it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow... Warm hugs from Austria and thank you for your sweet Easter-greetings,
    Traude

  19. I'm still smiling! Of course William was suppose to marry my oldest, he was born right before her so I told her that when she was born.
Oh well, I like Kate, she will do.
Went to the Fancy Flea in Lakeland today! It was awesome. My first time but not my last!
    Enjoy your beautiful flowers!

  20. Even though the wedding was spectacular, I loved that it had an understated quality to it! My favorite detail was her veil. Just think - she and Will now have 8 homes filled to the rim with vintage lovelies.....very, very vintage lovelies!!!! :) Happy Weekend!

  22. Wasn't it the most romantic wedding ever? I didn't get up early to see it. Just depended on all the news shows to see clips of it. But how beautiful! Everything about it was just dreamy....just like your photos, Laura! :)

  23. Hi Laura,
Indeed a beautiful wedding, I too up early for Di's wedding as well as the funeral!

I could not get off my mind how beautiful it would have been as perfect as the beautiful wedding it was, only one thing I was wishing Williams Mum could have been their as well.

These royal events only remind me of the sadness of princess Di's death, yet the wedding of William and Kate add a happy ending, and a new beginning!

    Lovely post and beautiful photos

  24. I must turn on the TV. I missed it because I have family and friends here for Jud's birthday. I am exhausted! The leaves are barely poking through the ground here, Laura, and there are certainly not any beautiful flowers. Could I just pitch a tent out there? ;-)
    Hugs,

  30. Thank you for so many inspiring photos. I make myself wait for several days in a row before I go to your blog, then slowly scroll through and thoroughly savor each of your comositions and vignettes. You have a marvelous sense of color, proportion and fantasy.

  31. Your photos are beautiful, and yes, it was lovely. I'm still trying to decide what I liked the best. Perhaps, the video of the priest who cartwheeled down the aisle when it was all over. It was wonderful.

  32. Too funny! I'm reading your posts, newest to oldest. So I just finished reading about your daughter, Kate. Then I came to THIS post about Will and "Kate's" wedding. I was stunned for a moment when I read, "Even Mr. Flea indulged me and got up early to watch the spectacular event." WHAT?!!! I had to scroll back to the top and look at the date of the post. Ah ha, it was THAT Kate you were talking about here. lol
