$4 Worth of Little Red and White Flea Finds

While down south I managed to get to a few fleas
and a couple of thrift stores.
(Mr. Flea was a willing partner as he was looking for a bicycle...)

One afternoon I spent an hour and $4.00 poking around.

This sweet pink rose sprigged doll blouse was 50 cents...
...the red and white clothespin bag it is lying on was one dollar.

Two dollars for the lot of red and white vintage
 child's enamelware dishes.

I had to dig for them in an old toy chest
filled with crusty old junk that even I didn't want.

The last piece I found was the lid to the little coffeepot.
I held it up in glee ...it felt like I hit the jackpot!
Mr. Flea just looked at me...convinced he married a crackpot.

...and one lonely* little* hand knit*creamy white* mitten
...for another 50 cents.

Four dollars for all these red and white flea finds.
Four dollars worth of fun.
:)

Don't ask what I will do will them...
I have no idea...yet.

So far today I have eaten 3 chocolate cupcakes
 with plastic footballs on top.
(Well, I didn't eat the footballs).

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!
:)

Ohh, you make me laugh.....
My children often says to me:
- Ok, we don´t always understand you, when you talk about, and show us these old things that you buy, but we can see your happiness and that´s good enough.
Sweet, isn´t it?

Hugs from Mia

What great finds and for $4.00 makes it so much fun .

You need my little chippy shabby cabinet to put your sweet little enamel dishes in they would fit perfect in the cubby holes.

Now where down south was you ?

Hi Laura -
You made a great purchase with the little enamel ware childrens dishes - they are priceless. I love those Florida flea markets - they are THE best! You came home with a wonderful collection - you will love making displays with these treasures! (wish I was in Florida right now!)

I'm cracking up! I can relate to your post.
On more than one occasion this has happened to
ME!! You need a dollhouse now:)
xxoo Liz
PS. Did Mr. Flea find a bike and ride away? I know my Hubby would.

I think your children's dishes are just too cute. They are probably rare as most small play things such as this are easily lost through time passing. I adore anything in miniature and children size. And red is the color of the day!

I can feel your joy finding the lid to that adorable tea set!!!! What a treasure, so sweet,
Isn't it wonderful that we can find such joy in such simple things? I always tell my children when they complain about my "junking", I could have a much more expensive habit than this!!

Red is my color and those are quite the find for only $4. I don't know anywhere around here that I could find bargains like that. Maybe I don't dig enough??
